Get rid of stats entirely. Looking at gems/enchants of people in LFR clearly shows that players are still too stupid to understand what they need. Let's just have all gear cosmetic-only and Blizzard can generate the proper stats behind the scenes.

No, they still want some items to be specialized, just not all of your equipment.

I'd be game for getting rid of base stats and just having haste, mastery, crit, multistrike, and the new tank stat. Stats are homoginized by ilvl so they're utterly meaningless anyway. Something that has more int on it will always have an equivalent amount more of other stats.

"Kaboom!" Numbers are too confusing to new players and are "unfun"

There's an addon for that, or at least was a few years back, dunno if it's still there.

Is there a place that contains all the current WoD info? Like the OP, but up to date?
|
Man, my lock's had the 483 helm that came from boosting it for months and I finally got a flex helm token today. Bumped his ilvl from 539 to 544, and I will hopefully start on norms within 2 weeks.
So, before I do that - how do I make my destro's dps not suck? Managing chaos bolts with trinket procs is a bitch.

Updated daily with everything that's happening in the Beta for WoD. No other place is better for information.

I'm not an expert on locks but i'd say it's that, 100% immolate uptime, snapshotting immolate when stuff procs, and using shadowburn correctly where possible. If you need more specific help post a parse of a Malkorok fight.

Also, you want to have immolate snap shotted to the 4 pc bonus 100% of the time, the dps of immolate is almost irrelevant, the bonus ember is much better.

Tried a few flex runs now, and I really start to understand how fun raiding can be. Can't wait to try normal!

The Flex -> Normal jump is mostly just numbers (except on Garrosh, they neutered that fight on Flex), the real jumps are from LFR to Flex and from Normal to Heroic because both of those jumps typically add mechanics/make mechanics a lot more relevant.

Alright! In flex, it seems that what you do actually matters. In LFR, the team will either just roll through the bosses and if you stop playing you can't see any change, or the team will get owned badly, no matter how much you try. In flex you can really see the effect if you stop healing, which is great!

Im trying to wrap my head around how servers work now. Do I have to be on the same server as my friends nowadays, or can I still queue for instances, join parties (custom raids) and arenas and BGs with them if they are on different ones?
|
Currently there's no need to be on the same server as even heroic raids can be done x-realm. In WoD you need to be in the same server for the current mythic content but if you don't plan on doing mythic raiding it doesn't really matter what server you're on.

In 6.0 the names of raid difficulties are changing with heroic becoming mythic and normal changing to heroic. See here.

So, before I do that - how do I make my destro's dps not suck? Managing chaos bolts with trinket procs is a bitch. Hello Stancel, congratulations on choosing the coolest class in the game. I havn´t played lately, but Ive done my fair share of SoO, and due to the awesome state of warlock I don´t think Ive ever been outside of top three dps during those raids. The concept is incredibly easy, you just keep aproximately 3,5 embers up when you don´t have trinket procs. When Purified bindings of Immerseus procs you should use dark soul and spam Chaos Bolts like theres no tomorrow (if you sacrifice pet you should throw in a short spell between the bolts so the extra DoT gets to do full dmg). Immerseus trinket and Dark Soul are both on 2 min cd, so every 2 min you do the biggest chunk of your damage. The rest of the time all you do is spending all backdraft on incinerate, not Chaos Bolt, and never cap on embers (so basically you use a chaos bolt here and there whenever your other trinket procs). Keeping immolate up at all times goes without saying.
The coolest tool of destro is Havoc. Use it on cooldown (unless you know epic procs will occure shortly, thats the only time its worth waiting a bit with havoc. If there are adds you should havoc the boss and shadowburn the adds, that shit is imbalanced as hell and you can laugh your way to easy dps while other classes smash their fingers off for less. On fights like Paragons of the Klaxxi you should always use incinerate with havoc in order to build embers faster, but on most fights you wanna use Shadowburn or Chaos Bolt. Also its hilarious to havoc three shadowburns with full trinket procs and dark soul, watch that damage meter and laugh.
I´ve read several guides stating you need addons to to trace trinket procs and such, but I have never used them and have never missed them. Destro is very simple, you just wait for procs and then you burn things like its your dayjob.
