Is that a price we can expect for the actually game or are pre-order prices usually higher?

Edit: Also note that the link I posted earlier was a pre-order for PS4, and we all know games for that cost more.

Game isn't going to come out this year.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1JjfztBnaTHWEx3ZE1HYXZQSHM/view If you want to gain some familiarity with the world of Cyberpunk 2077 this is your must-read. Also has plenty of humour. My favourite is pg. 231 where you read the diary of a Trauma Team doctor (the badass medics with guns) that has one hell of a day. Just some punk running deck and pulling dirt to get by. And that you are rarely in a position of power, so everyone is a threat to you. It will be a nice change from most standard RPGs where you are the dopest shit around. I was very pleased when CDPR announced the game wouldn't center around saving the world or the city from corporations, but saving yourself. They also said Night City is populated with selfish assholes who only look out for themselves, and that's the way you have to act as well. It's the only way cyberpunk should ever be.

All Elder Scrolls games starts with you more or less naked in a prison, often waiting execution. It's how the game treats you after that matters.

LOL far cry 3, far cry 4, FF-15, even GTA V you had a heist but then....crap hits the fans.

Yeah, but in ES games it's usually not long after that you learn you're the chosen one, touched by gods or some other shit and you go on to save the world or something.

Wasn't that just in Skyrim? I seem to recall in Oblivion and earlier you were just a shlub.

The "small everybody gets amazingly incredibly powerful and saves the world" storyline is one of the major staples in rpgs.

The big advantage to how Morrowind does it is that it's quite a ways into the game before you become the "chosen one" and at several points before then the NPC driving the main quest tells you to go away and train giving you potentially a lot of time in the world before you become the chosen one. Which works a lot better than it being handed to you in the first hour of Skyrim before your character even has an identity.

You're random street trash who might get pulled into some big events, but at the end you're still just a hired gun getting jerked around by the big players. Same as games like VtMB. One of the key aspects of Cyberbpunk is how systems of class and power interact. How tech only increases the power of those with wealth and makes the daily workers disposable. And that the systems in place re-enforce that power. There is no chosen one and there is no villain to defeat. It sounds like Cyberpunk is going for that, which is good to hear.

Where you can play in a relatively open world, starting as trash and completely ignoring main plot. Just imagine creating a charismatic character, doing everything that has to be done to get their first guitar and eventually becoming a drug addicted god of rock with a bunch of groupies around.
