With very few issues (both new and old saves) I don't think it'll burn my rig down.

Some new NPCs I guess? check the character screen. all your perks have been refunded and they redid all the skill trees. the game runs noticeably better and there's a new dlc for you to sink your teeth into. what do you mean, "not really noticing much of a difference?" edit: if you are like me and you own the witcher 3 on steam but you did not receive the phantom liberty witcher 3 dlc items, apparently you have to install the witcher 3 on steam and launch it using the RED launcher for it to recognize your ownership and unlock the items. how annoying.

I meant that I didn't notice anything significantly different from switching to my SSD. I've played the game since release and didn't have anything major stop me from finishing 3 playthroughs. I've followed the development of it and I'm well aware of the changes made lol. I'm trying to rush these doctors so I can get back and finish playing. I'm 2-3 missions from the start of the DLC but I think I'll grind another 10+ levels before going into Dogtown.

Now it runs worse, way worse. Have to meddle a bit with the settings but had no time. Something felt off. All I changed is having a way bigger Screen... Maybe it upscaled my resolution or something. But the whole game felt incredibly floaty/draggy. I also kinda dislike that i have to respecc everything... The changes seem massive at first glance, getting back "into" my lvl 38 character after so long seems like a hard ask. Probably gonna do a new run once i feel like it. Are throwing Knives good now? That was my original Idea but due to them never returning i stopped and later respecced... Now i saw there are returning ones? Are they common?

Now i saw there are returning ones? Are they common? it's probably the bigger screen. try turning down the two volumetric fog settings, ambient occlusion and reflections to medium or low. i have a 3070 Ti and with ray tracing off, everything on ultra except for the previously mentioned settings and running at 1440p it's pretty much butter smooth, with my pc running noticeably less hot than before the 2.0 patch. if i avoid the dogtown market or densely populated clubs i can use ray tracing too, it's decently optimized. also i managed to get the witcher 3 items by installing witcher 3 on steam and launching it once. the gwynbleidd blade is op

Now i saw there are returning ones? Are they common? The throwing knives return and are decent, plus they have different DOT aspects (poison, bleeding). I started a new playthrough right after 2.0 and using the perks is pretty fun. I loaded my maxed character from a year or so ago and respecced everything. I feel properly OP now and I didn't really do anything insane. As for the performance, I'd probably do like above said and lower some settings. My PC is running it just fine and I built it 4 years ago. Going out of the map still lags but I think it's more of assets being reloaded than anything else. Give it a few seconds and I'm back to respectable fps.

I stopped right before I went to AllFoods on my newest playthrough. Made loading everything so much smoother. Glad you can play the game and I hope the options work for you to make it smoother.

Something is just off... I did run it on pretty high settings before. I detest mingling with settings... welp.

I made it up until the Arasaka ending and then did start the DLC, which felt way harder than everything before it. Somehow I hadn't upgraded my Cyberdeck/Chrome in an eternity... So i was stuck with this "20 cool / 20 int - knive throwing cyberwizard"-build that still was stuck with lvl 1-2 spells in the probably longest stretch of battles in the game, my (decent) Smart Rifle just didn't do enough damage against the Boss and Knives aren't exactly good against giant Tanks. The fight against the soldiers before was allready way tougher than anything else... Well, I should have fixed my build way earlier, I also couldn't kill the Animals-Boss in the pacifica Mall because I plain lacked any sort of DPS and got one hit by basically everything she had (even whiteout her hammer). Had to slwoly shotgun the tank to death despite having absolutely no skills towards that, luckily I did have the weapon glitch hack which seemed to work (figured that out after waaaaay too many deaths). Now I'm back in the non-dlc world and upgraded all my stuff.... So i'm totally broke. Any decent way to make money aside from plain Missions?

I'm hovering around 100k but it goes quick if you buy new stuff so upgrading is probably the best way to go. Just need the components.

I flatlined my cash by buying all the skill up shards from the vendors at the beginning of the DLC. Now i can't even get enough cyberware to fill up to my cap, which feels horrible ![]()
