I never played Cata, but if they manage to make it as fun as vanilla and BC I would probably go back to it.

Yeah definitely, WoW just became too burst oriented, I think the ratio between damage output and health in Burning Crusade was the best

i havent played since vanilla, so doubt this would happen hehe. Don't even know if i want to buy anymore, since playing alone is goddamn boring

I gave WoW a last chance with Cata and it was a Kick in my balls. I quit 1 Month after Release. The Game is just not challenging at all anymore if you don't want to do this stupid Raid-Shit with Bosses you killed already in EZ-Moade!

I really appreciate WoW now that I figured out that I don't have to try to play it forever. Jump on the new expansion, discover new zones with their always-awesome ambiances, enjoy the fluid controls and gameplay, kill and get killed in BGs and arenas, coop your way through some dungeons and raids... then when it's becoming too repetitive, don't force it, cancel the sub and walk out having had a great time.

No, I don't killed anything in HC because raiding Heroic is like farming Inferno in Diablo... more HP/more DMG and no fun at all.
Vanilla-TBC Raiding was fun, because the Bosses were all new and exciting. I spend month to Kill Vashj/Kael to get into Hyjal/BT just to see Illidan!
The Game is just no fun anymore since they split up Hardmode. Ulduar had the best system ever. Newbs you just kill the bosses and if you wanted a Challenge you activated the Hardmode in the difficulty you want and get better loot...
But as said above. WoW will never be like back then...

You can't blame them for the hard mode/normal mode split. It's something they needed to do to keep making large raid tiers viable. It doesn't make sense for them to pour all that time, money, and energy into producing raid bosses only like five percent of the player population would ever see, and maybe two percent would ever kill.
Hard modes, and even LFR, are both a GOOD thing. That means we serious players can continue to have difficult and challenging raid encounters at high quality. Let the casuals have their LFR and normal modes.
I also highly doubt you even cleared 12/12 normal t11 within a month at the start of Cata with that attitude.

More like you have no skill to kill any boss in HC. BC's bosses pale in comparision to Cata's H bosses challenge wise and how is Ulduar HM any different than current HM except you activate HM in a cool way?

WoW's still the best MMO by far. Got bored of GW2 pretty fast. Well, bored is the wrong word I guess, I still log in once or twice each week to play a little. It is a beautiful game after all.
As for anyone who is pondering to return to WoW, I say: do it! MoP looks amazing (far better than the piece of shit expansion Cataclysm ever did).

Sorry, but you're talking out your ass. Sure, the hardest cataclysm bosses are probably the hardest there have been so far, but saying something like m'uru pales in comparision to cataclysm bosses is dumb.
And the ulduar hardmodes were more fun imo because they changed the fights in a more drastic way, and they also gave you some a way to choose, ie which order you kill the iron council, which elders you leave up on freya, which watchers you use on yogg-saron, things like that. Also the fights were just more fun in general, general vesax and mimiron are some of my absolute favourite fights of all time.

Me too. I really loved WoW pre-Cata.
This game is the best game ever developed but I no longer have the time to put into this game why I go for GW2 instead since there is no gear grinding.
If there is one thing Blizzard could do it would be allowing solo-queing for rated bgs. Then people like me that don't have the time to grind gear could get matched against each other. And they ofc need to add CAPTCHA so that bots stay away
