Scenario was kinda weak though >.< i would of much rather had an Army of Panda's invade the cities rather than do that scenario xD was kinda meh and no reward lol. But still better than nothing!

The expansion looks amazing. Blizzard has dropped the ball with Cataclysm but MoP truly looks like they stepped up their game.

I'm sorry if it bothers you that other people enjoy things you're unable to. This goes for everything anything.

I remember early Cata and it wasn't hard a lot of the time, it was lag killing your healer based on some bullshit 1 shot boss technique then having to pray you didn't get lag spiked again. BC was better it was punishing but required mainly good reflexes and pre-planning clearing rooms like a SWAT team. Admittedly, a LOT of BC was gear checks too. Frustrating to go through half of Hellfire Citadel (forgot the name its the one with blades for arms boss) and then you get to the gauntlet and realize you can go no further. Thems the breaks. Group finder killed difficulty too because the devs worked so hard to make these satisfyingly challenging zones but they were constantly thwarted. I could not be arsed to explain every fight 1000 times after awhile because fresh kiddies kept leveling to 85 and yes even they must know to break the chains and run from the Ogre boss...FML. So I group as little as possible for the week and no more. Because you are often as strong as your weakest player, dungeons had to be made easier and making them hard was a outright failure. If it was server only grouping you damn well bet people would have bound together and toughened up as a unit. The Raids were VERY hard in Cataclysm. Actually DS was kinda easy. =/ But still Blizzard did a good job there. Well except lore wise but... Oh sure you always hear about that guild who cleared DS in first day or your TL threads about nerds complaining how Firelands was too easy but in the grassroots n00bsauce level this shit was tough. FL had some tough to learn bosses, Spider, the 5th life guy, learning to fly and shoot the phoenix boss and of course Ragnaros. I am not even talking Heroic I have never been in that good of a guild T_T. Sadly because of shared zones, raids and dungeons I think the difficulty will have to be more mainstream after the grace period for the street credders.

The 5 man dungeons weren't difficult in Cataclysm, but the raids were very challenging when first released. T11 was insanely competitive: no gating and each guild had to decide which bosses (of the 14 total) were easiest for them to notch world/regional firsts. Many top guilds disbanded/died during this tier before clearing all bosses or shortly afterwards just due to the sheer amount of time and effort that was necessary to clear them. Keep in mind this was through Christmas and New Years and even with that extra time available many players just got worn out. Unfortunately many of the bosses had major bugs (think Magmaw, Atramades, Nefarian, Elementium Monstrosity, and many in 10 heroic were impossible (Magmaw, Valiona, etc.) until appropriately nerfed) that led to some initial exploitation but bosses like Cho'gall and Sinestra made up for that in difficulty. T12 (Firelands) also presented some challenging bosses, namely Baleroc and Ragnaros. This zone was completely open-ended and guilds could kill the first 5 bosses in any order, which made things interesting in the world rankings race. After the first week there were 100+ guilds stuck on Baleroc, who had the most ridiculous of enrage timers. It was a huge gear check, required zero mistakes or deaths up until enrage, and essentially required several hunters to buy time with double deterrence in the 1min+ beyond enrage for your guild to kill him. As a side note, because 95% of the fight came down to raw DPS, some guilds who were lucky enough to have weapons drop from the random loot table in their first clear of the first 4 bosses had some extra DPS that went a long way. Also, everyone thought Ultraxion was going to be the Baleroc of T13 but that wasn't the case at all. And of course heroic Ragnaros, an amazing boss fight, but arguably the most difficult boss the game has ever produced, took its own toll on many, many guilds. Dragon Soul was a big letdown after T11 and T12. All encounters but Spine of Deathwing paled in difficulty to some of the T11/T12 encounters. I actually liked Spine a lot since it wasn't your traditional boss fight but it did require major class stacking, something many guilds did not have the luxury of doing. Hopefully the final product of T14 will have some quality bosses like there was in T11 and T12 that keeps things competitive and fun. The major thing Blizzard should do is eliminate the requirement of class stacking in their fights.

Concerning Cata I have to say that I seriously enjoyed the dungeon finder- such a huge innovation and plenty of fun (at least as an overgeared tank). edit to clarify: I stopped playing before firelands

So I haven't heard much about MoP yet, but to be honest it doesn't bother me much, either. Maybe, if Blizz finally introduced f2p (for real, not that starter edition BS since ppl still spent a good amount on the game + expansions), things would look different and I would spare some time doing arena and bg's again, but SC still would take up all of my attention anyway ![]()

The only thing WoW does better than other MMOs is being casual-friendly. Sounds like you're in denial over being a casual gamer ~_~ EverQuest II - PvE, lore, and community (what a real MMO should be in terms of immersion) Aion - PvP TERA - PvP SW:ToR - Lore Guild Wars II - Everything but raids Rift - Everything (literally a clone of WoW with improvements) EVE Online - I don't play EVE but I'm sure it's better than WoW in a few aspects WoW is basically an MMO that gets a 5/10 in every category, while other MMOs get a 10/10 in one or two and a 1/10 in others. I've never met someone that actually enjoyed every single aspect of gameplay. Nearly everyone has a strong preference towards something specific (Raiding, questing, socializing, PvP, economy, etc) in which case there's a better MMO out there. WoW get's 10/10 for still being the most fluidic in controls. GW2 comes close I guess, but wow's engine is old like 8 years or smth. I would say WoW is overall fine, the worst part is the endgame. It's just so casualized it hurts, there's nothing really to do. If world bosses and world pvp come back in MoP then it's gonna be a top MMO again, IMO. More interesting itemization wouldn't hurt too, when you're basically only checking what item gives more int it gets stale. Vanilla was fun with random wacky items, who had a lot of activateable abilities on them.
