It doesn't duplicate the item like a mirror, it just creates a restore point that you can go back to. So you craft something and then make the restore point with the eternal orb. Then you regal in this case, but exalt when eternal orbs existed. If the mod is good then you can continue crafting. If it is not then you can use your restore point to go back and try again. The beast recipe is essentially equivalent to alt/regal crafting three tier 1 mods, but you restore back to your two affix magic item instead of alting it to what you want every time. Eternal orbs were also used to save certain color configurations for links. When someone takes mirroring service they want a certain color configuration and you can't change it after the mirror. You imprint current colors, use another eternal imprint to go to the buyer's desired configuration, and then mirror the item. | ||

Two possible pathways here the elder could have spawned, which would have resulted in a truly gg setup for my character, granting perma elder across every single map I could possibly want. Instead he spawns on wastepool, borderline bricking it. | ||

So far Quill rain poison, Spectral shield throw (non-chain variant), multicurse something (RF? Deaths oath? Poison?) has piqued my interest. Not a conventional melee attack build anyway, or short range spellcaster. Maybe back to the old flicker strike wiiiooooiioo.... Anyone who's played anything like this care to comment? | ||

Which is a shame, because I was hoping to roll it as a second build this league. Now that aspect sets are way more accessible, you may want to look for them for inspiration-I keep poking at the crab one just because up to 30% of phys mitigation on hits that make it through a block build seems nice and the full set makes it seem pretty sure to stay around 20-30% phys mitigation with a boatload of armor. | ||
