I dunno but it seems like lioneyes chest is going to be good for it, for the free pierce, which correct me if im wrong, would make the nova part much more reliable.

Then slow down the projectile, make the secondary projectiles expire much faster than tshot ones, make the skill not scale with many useful/good nodes, make it extremely hard to have decent crit with any base damage, remove the ability to have a 6L weapon, etc. The skill is mechanically castrated and needed insane base damage numbers to function. It *may* have pretty good base damage numbers but it'll never be good enough.

Even with Deafening Woes you still only get 96-110 maximum ES on Armor/EV bases and that prefix hamstrings your maximum base damage. Edit: Crap, now I want to try it again...

Games pretty much done for me at this point, I now have a license to print money on some extremely good maps. Got two decent ventors and a deadeye wander kind of based off raizqt's build. On a 5 link I can do 1-2 minute 3 sextant shaped armory maps which I've never run out of so far. Honestly need to make piscators t1, its a 1c item 99.9% as good as a mirrored wand/better even with gg enough abyss jewels.

But I'm also sure that it wouldn't work this well without using zana bloodlines mod + chisels + prophecies. It sounds expensive, but if you sell some maps and drops it works very well. I also have to admit I was doing only alch and go from t6 to t10 and it was a struggle to build a map pool. I was finding very few red maps and my T10/T11 pool wasn't increasing a lot. But I eventually said fuck it, and just played the highest maps with some more investment and it worked quite well.

Hasn't been a single post where someone offers a suggestion to a problem where complete retards go out of there way to say why it's not a solution. These geniuses ran away from diablo 3 and are doing their level best to turn poe into it. I ended up with 142/157 on my atlas, which is every single map + shaper (including putrid cloister, hogm, vaal temple, and twilight temple) minus t13s and 14s. Probably made about 400c today selling t14s/15s. I'm giving real thought to trying a whispering ice boss killer I've theorycrafted, which uses elementalist of all things in an attempt to kill uber elder and get 5 sextants unlocked. If I can do that I think I can farm a headhunter in less then a week.

I'm playing only T13 and up since a few days, but I'm nearly at full atlas completion by now and not doing shaped atlas strategy this time. Working great with my Freezing Pulse Hierophant (and with this build I'm also liking just about any map), but I guess I wouldn't ever do it if you are having trouble with bosses as some are pretty hard if you don't reroll map mods. As such full atlas is pretty much a no go strategy for HC I'd assume. But I'm also sure that it wouldn't work this well without using zana bloodlines mod + chisels + prophecies. Went more or less full atlas myself, as long as you're playing a NiceBuildTM that can do a lot of map mods it's no problem even on HC. Seeing all the complaints I considered that maybe sustaining is harder on SC because of a different economy, but my SC friends also seem to be profiting nicely by chaining/buying guardian maps.

And since the meta was largely running Beachhead, you could also just Harbinger Orb the crap reds you got.

Map prices were a joke and Horizon Orbs were free alchs if you had great Atlas completion and a nice way to get away from crappy layouts that dropped from non-shaped red maps. Ambush league definitely holds the mapping expectations absurdity record and will never be beaten unless GGG does something completely insane. Cartographer strongboxes were just absurdly broken.

Was especially insane since at that time, if I remember correctly, mapping was still a luxury at higher tiers (map levels). Not quite the time where people used exalts on them tho I think.

Overall I'm just torn on the whole problem, I see why they want it to be how it is, I don't really mind it being how it is, but at the same time the most fun I've had in this game was when i could bulk purchase shaped t10s for a chisel each.

So who started with these leagues wouldn't know that was not always like that. As someone that started with 3.0 this is definitely the issue. Harbinger wasn't the most fun league mechanic but it's easy to see what it did to the economy in retrospect, and Abyss mechanic was so obviously flooded with extra mobs/rewards that I'm sure it was similar to Breach. I've had issues """""sustaining""""" maps, but that's only if your definition of sustaining is dropping enough MAPS that you want to run. If your definition of sustaining is making enough CURRENCY to keep BUYING the maps you want to run -- even reds imo -- no one should be having issues. I can see why that "annoys" people but it should be obvious why that's happening, people are being really ignorant about it. I've kind of become annoyed/disenchanted with the greater poe community for episodes like this. People's attitudes have been super wack about a lot of stuff this league. I mostly stick to checking up on a very small number of streamers I find entertaining, and posting here. I tend to ask a lot of questions because that's just my preference (and I'm bored at work very often lol) but I've learned so much each league from actually playing that it's helped me identify/expose a LOT of stuff that I would have put faith in back when 3.0 dropped and I was new. All this is a big part of the reason why I kind of want to try SSF next league. Drag it out, no worry about making bulk currency or doing anything other than just playing whatever I feel like and keeping an eye out for upgrades. Classic.

I'm quite [REDACTED] about the build tbh, it needs a [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. I don't know how much more I'll be playing on the character though, I want to avoid being burned out for next league where I'll be a SSF boy. I should probably practice SSF before then too.

That was back when I was a HC player and since I'm a scrub never made it to maps. Reading all this I think I will be completely overwhelmed when I decide to come back to PoE. :D I remember playing Invasion when the carto boxes dropped and the season after was the first time I could maintain a decent map pool up to 78 in HC. :D On another note: I just found a PM from last year in my inbox, offering 950 ex for my alt art Saffell's in SC. Inflation in SC is real now, isn't it?

Inflation in SC is real now, isn't it? Alt arts on standard, yeah. I had an high offer for a Cloak of Flames too which I never saw because I don't log in at the poe website a lot (in fact, I barely visit it). Well, I'm not playing standard so w/e. It's only natural though, people are amassing currency and for alt arts there's basically 0 supply.
