I've tried digging into it myself and hadn't been able to quickly find the stats of the aspect skills anywhere. Just the effects of the uniques modifying the base aura are on the wiki, pretty annoying. The tooltips are floating around in reddit threads, though. None of them are too great which may be why they're not getting tons of attention.
I think I saw a post about aspect of the avian somewhere (10% chance to deal double damage for 4 seconds called avian's might, followed by 10% increased movespeed for 4 seconds called avian's flight) but the spider/cat/crab ones I haven't seen. Found it here.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with how bleed works. Does the damage of the "initial" hit affect the size of the bleed it puts on the monster? Meaning something that attacks quickly but does small damage (say, blade flurry) will have tiny bleeds, and not be worth it? On the flip side faster attacks means you reach 8 stacks faster too with Crimson Dance, so there's some sort of balancing act I guess. Just mostly curious of there's certain abilities that do or don't work well with bleed.

Technically it's not the damage of the initial hit, it's the base damage of the initial hit (i.e., before most %increased and %more scaling comes into play), but the basic insight is that it works like you're saying: If you don't have Crimson Dance, you want big, slow hits to maximize bleed damage; if you do have Crimson Dance, you want to get to 8 bleeds quickly.

Thing to watch out for: If you're trying to maximize bleed damage, make sure you use support gems that mention "ailments" (so, for example, physical proj is good, but slower proj won't increase your bleed damage, because bleed damage isn't projectile damage).

Yeah right now the main skill is Blade Flurry + Melee Phys + Brutality, with Inc.Aoe/Conc. swapping for clearing and bosses. I'll assume BF is adequately fast for stacking to 8, I can't think of anything else that'd be similar, but I didn't know if all the weak baby hits meant the actual bleed was super small, regardless of the stacks. I'll see how it feels.

Ezpz but i got it on my ranger so pierce burning arrow caked the adds. His leap did about half hp when it hit but the next attack would take like 3 seconds. If ii had gotten it on my shadow or templar instead it woulda been rough.

One bug that I found annoying is going to be fixed next patch. Maps with no or few beasts will not have less yellow/red beasts spawning than others. It's extremely apparent starting Act 10 and in most indoor maps.

If you think of them as squids animating dead sailors it makes more sense.... maybe.

Goatmen and Merveil's buddies both seem like the outliers for captures to me. The Goatmen in particular are descended from humans according to the wiki. And both these mobs can cast magic spells, which seems pretty non-beast like.
What gets me is that like 75% of map bosses are beasts but GGG didn't want us to capture them.
