There will be many adjustments to gems in relation to Damage over Time balance. The Decay Support Gem will do significantly less damage, 50% less damage at gem level 20, and its duration will be reduced to 8 seconds. rip dreams Also this: Flameblast will have a separate bonus to spell damage and ailment damage per stage, because it is by far the most effective way to apply ignites. With these changes, we will be able to balance ignite around a broader selection of skills, rather than having to balance the ailment around Flameblast. Next round of beta will also have all Ascendancy points available! | ||

I'm interested in trying out a necro srs with mom and 4 auras. My gameplan involves running hatred and haste on essence worm and a purity of elements and clarity level 1 on mana. I can pretty comfortably get to 40-50% mana remaining after that, and if I've done my maths right I should have an ehp pool of ~7.5k. Possibly more. Just wondering if I've overlooked something. | ||

But as was, my build was going to be an ascendant shield charge decayer. The damage was going to be super high..., the character would be tanky, the AOE was going to be decent, and.. all on a movement skill. The only thing that was going to be lacking was single target and even that should have still been decent. something like 40k-80k dps (over 10 sec period of course). | ||

When you count in resists, map mods, bonus life for magic or rare enemies or map boss modifiers that is pathetic. Or did you mean real dps x 10 for full duration? And I can agree that Shield Charge is a problem, they could have just nerfed that like they did fireblast+decay. Mines and traps are ok, the playstyle is much much slower than most skills and you can only have a few and then wait for cooldown. I do think that it was not necessarily stronger than top clearing builds will be, but investment was low, it would become strong immediately at getting decay and never fall off, and it allowed for extreme tankiness. Mines looked good too because of scaling but like you say, slower playstyle. | ||

not sure why you would want purity of elements. if it's just for the ascendency aura buff it's not worth the loss to mana imo | ||
