They are 9 deep, the Heat has Dampier on their team. (yes i know he doesnt play but still) Enough said. Baby Bron already won his title when they beat an old Celtics team. Dirk is your true MVP this season. Any takers? Now we've fallen far enough to resort to ban betting? I liked this thread when it was a small handful of people discussing NBA basketball. I come to TL for intelligent and (relatively) unbiased discussion. I am a basketball fan first and a Mavs fan after. Let's attempt to keep some civility so I can continue to read this thread without reading a bunch of nonsensical bashing coupled with full capitalization posts.

Rose is going to have even more motivation to bust his ass in the offseason, as is Westbrook, and since they're workout partners I can see that providing really strong results. Noah can get his confidence on offense back, especially in that little 15-footer that he used to shoot before he tore ligaments in his hand. In a perfect world he learns how to shoot the right way because he can't shoot that shot (with the lateral spin) as well with the torn ligaments, his hand is just too weak. Boozer can maybe wake up a little bit and/or maybe the Bulls luck into a decent trade, flipping him for some much-needed assets like another scorer. Taj can hopefully work on his low-post game and maybe the Bulls can move him back into the starting spot (if the previous scenario with flipping Boozer for something comes true). All-in-all the Bulls have a pretty positive outlook going forward. While we're still in my pipe dream I want them to get Jerry Sloan at his farm downstate and make him a godfather offer to coach the offense.

I always hear about how terrible Heat fans are but this thread just shows that Chicago got their fair share of sore loser fans too. Chicago didn't deserve the win just like they didn't deserve the win in the last 3 games. The refs didn't play a role in their losses Deal with it. You had a great season but it just wasn't enough, no need to look for excuses outside the Bulls' players and coaching staff. It's ok. If there is one constant about TL NBA threads it's that morons who don't know much about basketball show up and start spewing nonsense. It does make it very enjoyable when they are wrong and you can sit back, look at old posts and laugh hilariously.

As a Bulls fan I am going to admit that the Heat are the better team, but I also think that the refs badly screwed up the third quarter of this game. The Bulls should have been up 15 + except for two phantom calls (not the flagrant, that was not a bad call) and a technical. Then when the Bulls fans at the arena started booing the refs they got worse and actively engaged in retribution the rest of the quarter. The Heat win this series regardless, but they win it in 6 not 5.

The refs are making so many calls every game, it's impossible for everything to be perfect. Very true, but I think a lot of the fans of the losing side (in this case, the Bulls, who I am a fan of), stick to wishful thinking and a lot of "but if" hypothesis'. For example; if we hadn't gotten some non-playoff calls against us, leading to the tech and so forth, we would've kept our momentum and won the game.. Now with the momentum shifting in our direction, we'd go out and play amazing in Game 6, which would obviously lead to a win. By now, our opponents (this time, the Heat) would be so broken down by our effort the last two games, they'll implode at some point of the game (just like we did in our two last games).. It's seems incredible foolish to think this way, but when fans are talking about their own team they tend to leave every logical aspect out of the thought process - which leads to a lot of amusing posts on forums (this thread, for instance).. I think this goes for all "true fans" of any sport - you hate to see your team lose, and you like to think of them as the superior team to others, ergo you speak from the heart, regardless of how inaccurate it might be.

Laker fans are the best example of this, they were fucking booing their team to oblivion and it was pathetic to watch. as a wizard fan....you only see the NBA for what it is l0l

People will say Chicago/D.Rose choked but they played their hearts out in the 4th and Wade/Lebron were just on another level. They'll be back next year better than ever. Also; aren't you a Lakers fan? I had it between Lebron, Wade, Dwight and Dirk (not so much later on because of the all the Rose talk). I'm definitely not a Lakers fan. I root for Boston because of KG/Ray Allen and Miami because of Wade. Even NOH because of CP3. But I don't show allegiance to any team as I'm more a fan of the players.
