The penalty was undeserved. The draw was not. Barcelona played a poor second half, especially against 10 players, and while both teams played unfairly, Barcelona's penalty wasn't a dive - Real Madrid's was.
Does that mean people are wrong when they say it was undeserved? It depends entirely. Quality of football wise, no they aren't, because Real played on an equal level(they may be down in possession, but they were better offensively) overall, worse in the first half, better in the second. Yes, the penalty they got was a clear dive, and no, they didn't deserve it, but they did deserve to tie up the game after that come back.
If you really want to be mad at someone for last night, blame your own team for not scoring those 2-3 ridiculous chances in the first half that someone like Messi should definitely kick in.
Imo. there is no such thing as quality of football. The team who scores more goals wins. It doesn't matter how the goals are scored or how many goal chances the team have.

Okay, you can think that.
When everyone who knows even a little about football talks about a "deserved" outcome, though, this is what they mean.
Of course, why would I expect someone from Norway to know anything about Football?
This thread is pretty bullshit. All the players dive, all the players make faults. Madrid went with a tactic (that you could like more or less) and it turn out well. I, as a Barcelona fan, cannot say the tie is unfair, because when we scored, we fell asleep when we should have gone for the kill.
Alves kicked Madrid players, Pepe kicked Barça players. Messi dived, Cristiano dived. Seriously people, stop calling idiot everybody just because he's not from your team.

These kind of assertions I can't agree with. What can Mourinho prepare better than having his whole team behind the ball 24/7, put Ozil in and hope for better ball management? On the other hand, Barça can play so much better.
The game was a draw, effectively it was a Barcelona win, still 8 points ahead of Madrid with few games remaining, Barcelona fans you can already celebrate cause the Liga is ours!

after 90 minutes, quality of football is of course negligible. You might attract neutrals, but you get no points for playing attractive football, you cannot argue you deserve points or trophies just because of a tactic. Arsenal is the perfect example of this, where many consider us to play the best brand of football in england, it was very painful to have to listen to our supporters (a few years back, it has died down now) try to justify a lack of silverware by way of saying that our football was the best, when really it counted for very little.
from a neutral or entertainment perspective quality of football is highly relevant.

At least in england the bottom team can give a match to the top team.
Sorry if this offends spanish league lovers.
Its the truth, the spanish giants will continually rake in hundreds of millions a season from broadcasting revenue alone, 10 times as much as the bottom teams and will dominate as long as they are allowed to sell their own TV rights.
The Bundesliga has the fairest distribution of broadcasting revenue and it makes for an exciting and unpredictable league, and the Spanish and Italian FAs would be wise to slowly adopt similar financial models. Otherwise, Bundesliga will replace serie a as the 3rd biggest league in the world in the near future and i will welcome that day as it is the way forward for football

Nope, a formation where the foundations of his tactics used today yesterday will be improved (defensively and offensively), and yes it will involve Ozil running things with Benz and CR7 ready to take all the shots fed to them. Mou is not stupid, he won't throw everything out there in the first of 4 games, Pep will utterly smash him if he does that. Yes Barca definitely won the league already, unless a single miracle happens where Barca lose their next 3 games? But I doubt it, Barca has La Liga won. RM will focus on the Copa Del Rey and CL.

You got dropped as a baby or something? Someone cheering for Barca is OK, and quite understandable, but bitching about Los Blancos saying they cheated is just a level down. Specially when your looking at how Barca's player are ALL up in the reffs face whenever one of them is down... Watch the game next time.
Barcelona were cheated, try and argue back with that and you are an idiot.
Yes they played like thugs, and cheats, just look at Ronaldo and Marcelo. Pepe is one of the most dirtest defenders I have ever seen.
And Iniesta/Busquets/Xavi? Dani Alves is THE dirtiest player in the world in my opinion, he ticks all the boxes - diving, exaggerating, moaning at refs, off the ball spats, dirty tackles etc. Yeah Marcelo is a scummy player as well (see his reaction to getting Crouchy sent off a couple weeks ago), and everyone knows Ronaldo goes down too easily, but the same can be said about Barcelona players. I saw women in my rec league game this morning shake off harder tackles than the ones that left Busquets and Iniesta rolling around on the floor today.
You can throw out possession numbers from the center circle all day, but Madrid played with 10 men for nearly an entire half and still managed 8 corners to Barca's 0, had the same number of shots on target (6), and forced the same number of saves from the opposing GK (5) AND hit the post. That doesn't look like robbery to me, that looks like a fairly even football match that ended with a deserved draw.
That shot which hit the post was a result from a dive....... The other free-kicks were dives. Reduct those shots. Buquests was fouled as was Iniesta. Madrid did not deserve that draw, I will stick by that, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Madrid never scored in open play, neither did Barcelona, and Madrid should not have had 3/4 of their major set pieces including the penalty, so reducting those the score was 0-1 to Barcelona.
You're pathetic and you don't deserve to be a football fan.
I support my team? I sit and watch every match I can? I will argue for my team constantly, yet I do not deserve to be a fan?
I guess you saw those actions, right?:
Stop your bullshit now.
yep those are almost all of Barca's dirtiest moments in the last 6 years.. Thanks for providing them to our knowledge.

I totally agree. And fyi the Bundesliga has already passed the Serie A and will have 4 Champions League places to give away, by the 2012 season
Saw the highlights. Thought the red card for albiol was too harsh, alves definitely should deserve a yellow at least, dunno why valdes got a yellow card. One things for certain, it was not a dive.
Bundesliga will replace serie a as the 3rd biggest league in the world

hala madrid :D
Valdes won't play the final.
Pinto will be the goalkeeper, he played all of the games of La Copa.
I like it. Valdes is definetely better goalkeeper than Pinto, but Pinto took us to where we are now in la copa del rey, and he made us win the last one so he totally deserves it. I like this kind of mentality from Barça and I think it's one of the points that have made it big. If you deliver, I will give you chances although there's someone better than you here because if I invest in you now it will pay later.
