That's mostly a result of devastation in a lot of Seria A teams. While the german distribution of revenue might make for a more interesting competition, it's definitely not good for international competition of their best teams which make A LOT less money from broadcasting then those in England or Spain. It's also bad for the league as a whole because the overall sum is really low. Real Madrid alone makes nearly as much money from broadcasting as the whole Bundesliga.

I am baffled by the idea that Madrid played better, only reason they did not lose by 3-1 or 4-1 is because Villa is in a slump and has the confidence of a 13 year old girl atm.
Barca were denied a clear penality that was the exact same situation where Madrid got their penalty
