Barca didn't play that well. Although i think combined with holding so much possession, they overall probably dominated most of the game. But RM pretty much was pressing and attacking alot whenever they got a chance. Alot of corners definitely for RM. As for the diving, i think busquets and less to iniesta and dani were being balloons imo. And of course Ronaldo, being the biggest baby in the world, marcelo played well but pretty annoying fouling and crying most of the game. As much as i hate Pepe for what he did before in the past, he played a great game! props. Villas somewhat on a slump and Messi played pretty poorly his first ten or so touches but then toward the end woke up and made a bit of magic almost resulting in a couple goals. Xavi was super solid as well as pique and puyol (till he got injured), same goes with adriano, he played well and isn't as quick to fall down like dani.

Why did they get cheated? Dani fouled Marcelo in the box resulting in a penalty in which Ronaldo scored. Pretty cut and dry.

Dani Alves is THE dirtiest player in the world in my opinion, he ticks all the boxes - diving, exaggerating, moaning at refs, off the ball spats, dirty tackles etc. Yeah Marcelo is a scummy player as well (see his reaction to getting Crouchy sent off a couple weeks ago), and everyone knows Ronaldo goes down too easily, but the same can be said about Barcelona players. I saw women in my rec league game this morning shake off harder tackles than the ones that left Busquets and Iniesta rolling around on the floor today.
You can throw out possession numbers from the center circle all day, but Madrid played with 10 men for nearly an entire half and still managed 8 corners to Barca's 0, had the same number of shots on target (6), and forced the same number of saves from the opposing GK (5) AND hit the post. That doesn't look like robbery to me, that looks like a fairly even football match that ended with a deserved draw. That shot which hit the post was a result from a dive....... The other free-kicks were dives. Reduct those shots. Buquests was fouled as was Iniesta. Madrid did not deserve that draw, I will stick by that, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Madrid never scored in open play, neither did Barcelona, and Madrid should not have had 3/4 of their major set pieces including the penalty, so reducting those the score was 0-1 to Barcelona. Pretty sure a lot of Barca fans are pissed off at Villa today, missed some good chances. But, we all know what David Villa is capable of, he can score, he's just off form currently. He'll probably get his form back, just hopefully not in any of the next matches against RM =D

Yep, every forum I go to, I don't argue I just point out things so we can all agree. But, what you said about Ronaldo is very true, He is definitely different from his old self. He's a lot more of a team player, less complaining (He just makes a stupid looking face when he doesn't get a call in favor, which is a lot more funny LOL!) and doesn't dive as much anymore (but who doesn't dive once in awhile right?). How do you feel about Ozil? My fav player since his days at Bremen and Germany National team. His touches are magical, Wizard of Ozil

I am a Real Madrid fan, and I personally think 50% of the FC Barcelona fans came out of the woodwork very recently because they realized that Barca's team is one of the greatest that the world has seen in the last ten years. Wayne Rooney even said they are "one of the best ever".
That being said, I believe Real Madrid played very well today and they've come a long way since the last El Classico. For one thing, they actually play defense now .
As for the whole "playing dirty" issue, I believe both teams played dirty, but that's to be expected in a game as emotionally charged as this one. Any sport's rivalry game has dirty playing, it's just part of competition.
Someone earlier made a statement about how Real Madrid is just "Ronaldo and Kaka" and while that may have been true before, it's clear that it is not anymore. Watch the first leg of RM vs Tottenheim for proof, and just look a the teamwork vs Barca.
That's just my two cents on the issue, take it or leave it.

Quality and professionalism combined with team spirit.
In many ways it's a similar story to the Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Keane, Neville backbone that United had.
If history tells us anything it's that that foundation will allow Barcelona to really build for the future and be great for a long time to come.
