Big new update is out with all the optimization they've been working on! In case anyone is interested in seeing if gameplay experience is improved. Also should be a spike in players for a bit if it felt dead.

My game was running beautifully last night, so I'll probably pick up streaming again. I've cut back on playing some after hitting 100 on Mattherson, been putting more time in on Waterson when I do play. BWC ended up leaking pilots due to some decisions made, so now I've been flying with NUC during their ops for a couple months. BWC was still a lot of fun when I played ground, but NUC has competent leadership from what I've seen.

I get smooth performance now without the stream, and with the stream running if I stick to small fights. So I'll stream some of my off hours play. Can't handle streaming NUC ops though sadly at prime time.

Since 2.5 month i couldn't play because i lived in a temporary flat without proper connection and i still have to wait 2 weeks for my new connection to arrive.

I want to try this patch soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, being one of the 15-30 FPS players previously

I never had big FPS problems before so I don't notice much change. The one thing that killed my computer still does, which is getting missile podded. Dunno why that one thing does more than general huge battles.

Yeah I haven't gotten a chance to try out the new patch yet but I'm super excited to play some this weekend. I definitely suffered from general low FPS in large scale ground combat. The other big issue for me has always been when I'm flying and I fly over a ground battle and the game just freezes up for a second or two as all players and shit gets rendered. That's plenty of time to slam into a tree or get blown away by flak spam, and even when I don't get blown up in those 1 or 2 seconds, that is still about half the window you had to deal damage to infantry before you have to run away and let your flares recharge. Hoping that will be improved as well, but if I can stay above 30 fps in infantry battles that will be enough to get me playing regularly again.

I've come a long way on the infantry classes now I think. Been getting steady 5+ K/Ds running a two man squad with my cousin on Mattherson. I started this game out barely maintaining a 0.5 K/D for weeks.

It's double xp time.

I like the game in general but its kinda boring to play alone. I also have no clue how to fight vs tanks with my low rank infantry.

Play Heavy Assault, take the default rocket launcher and shoot some rockets into it's backside. It takes 4 hits to blow up the tank. If you can't get behind it you should avoid it since you can't actually destroy it on your own without ammo supply from an engineer or a nearby terminal to resupply.

Tanks seem ridiculous at times until you understand how weak they are if infantry gets close to them or even into their rear. They are beasts in open fields where infantry can't get good cover and can't get behind them but tanks are also sitting ducks in any base where infantry can sneak around buildings. They still are a pain for solo players but any half way organized squad can take out a dozen tanks without much trouble.

I guess the TL;DR would be: Teamplay.

Also: 2 days till i can play again! 3 Month PS2 break are too much

There are usually a bunch of squads running at any time open to the public that let you not play alone, you can just look at the list and join a random one and you instantly have a team to work with, and they are almost always fine with new players and they help find good battles.
