Throwing elbows you mean like everyone else? You think that is a rare thing? Going after people = dirty? So he has a temper and lashes out at other players for whatever reasons and that makes him a dirty player. Interesting. His name always comes up because it's media portrayal, not because it's necessarily true. He's no saint but he isn't a dirty player. If you want to see dirty look at clips of Bill Lambieer. | ||

People have thrown elbows, yeah, but not as many times as to be recognized for it like Garnett. The media doesn't go out of it's way to make Garnett look like a bad guy. He had been in the lead long enough to where if they wanted to they could of started on him way before he came to Boston. That Boston team got a lot of coverage so it was much easier to see when he was being a prick with his unnecessary play. I think now you are just looking for a set stereotype for the word "dirty" and excusing all his flaws as an all around individual on the court. | ||

Just because the league has made it a less physical game doesn't mean players don't play that way on the inside. Dirty play = cheap shotting guys, tripping, undercutting, elbows to the face. You know, the stuff that went on all the time in the 80s and 90s. Have you SEEN Garnett do this a lot? If he's setting hard picks, talking trash and trying to punk people then call him out on it but don't call it dirty play because it isn't. | ||
