IMO this will really hurt the Cavs and I already feel bad for them. I'm not 100%, but the Baron Davis trade to the Cavs for Mo Williams I think the Cavs got the Clips 1st round pick( I don't think it was lottery protected) But atleast the Cavs would have 2 top 10 picks if they don't get screwed i.e Boston Celtics they were suppose to get the 1st pick in the Draft where Tim Duncan came out of School. Spurs got so lucky

If I'm the Lakers, I'm worried about Dallas, OKC, Miami and Boston - in that order. As for the Bulls, Joakim Noah is their only 7 footer (super great) and they have a bunch of 6-8, 6-9 guys: Boozer, Deng, Gibson, Thomas and Scalabrinie. Not exactly the perfect matchup for Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. I actually think the off-season acquisition of Ronnie Brewer is what gives the Bulls a chance against the Lakers, otherwise, they'd be running Keith Bogans, Rasual Butler and Kyle Korver at Kobe. Tom Thibodeau might be a defensive genius but he isn't Jesus. So I guess if the Bulls and Lakers faced off, assuming Bulls home court and 2-2-1-1-1, I'd say...Lakers in 5? Maybe 6? EDIT: Oops, Finals are 3-2-3..which makes it harder...Now I have to think about it. Perk is 6-9 and gave Bynum fits in the finals both years; the key to beating LA is to keep Pau off the offensive boards. you do that, you have a great chance of winning. no, Bulls don't have a bunch of 7' players, but neither did the Celts. what they did have, though, were a bunch of high-energy guys who let their defense create their offense. that's a carbon copy of the Bulls. Rose has said it himself: for the Bulls, their defense allows their offense to come through because it gives them confidence, creates fast break opportunities, and demoralizes a team when they keep missing shots. now, LA won't be demoralized because they've been there before (and are the two-time defending champs), but if you asked Phil what team he'd rather see between Miami, Boston, and Chicago, you better believe Chicago's last (only because Perk was traded). LA vs. Chicago would seriously be a toss-up; maybe even another legendary series. lol and it's 2-3-2 man. calm down, relax...you know these things. HC is not going to be a big deal in the Finals though.

The home team was down 10 in the fourth quarter with the home crowd completely silenced? Although Boston's home crowd would have been a much bigger advantage than the Laker's was. I kind of see the Bulls as the Jazz with better defense (and less fouling). Despite the one on one matchups, elite point guards just don't have good offensive series against the Laker's bigs. Can Rose and Boozer do better than Deron and Boozer? Noah vs Bynum could go either way. People like Bynum's numbers, but Noah's much more active and mobile than Bynum. Gasol vs Boozer is a huge mismatch, one and one and on a team.

Spurs dropping games fast, it's amazing how a guy with a modest statline did so much for the team, even at his age.

HC is not going to be a big deal in the Finals though. Well, in my defense, it was late when I posted that and I later corrected myself in the next post that the series was 2-3-2. Just a late night typo! The Bulls are a very very strong defensive team. In fact, I'd call them the BEST defensive team in the NBA, so obviously, they have a shot to beat the Lakers in a 7 game series. But if you look at their roster, you have to feel nervous when you match up the players, there will definitely be a problem at power forward and depending how Lamar Odom is used, there will be another mismatch to deal with. Not saying the Bulls don't have a chance but I think the Bulls would be happier with almost any other team from the Western Conference.

The last time three teammates tallied 30 or more points and 10 or more rebounds in a non-overtime game? Elias Sports Bureau informs us that it hasn't happened in more than 50 years. In fact, the last trio to do it was Oscar Robertson, Wayne Embry and Jack Twyman for the Cincinnati Royals in a loss to the Philadelphia Warriors on Feb. 2, 1961. That's the only other occurrence in NBA history.
