the gameplay is definitely more involving and entertaining than any other action RPG i've played. there's definitely enough depth to the combat to keep you satisfied with at least 1 playthrough.

Thanks for the input, I was just worried the combat would be bland hack and slash but I take it that there is some rhyme and reason. Everything about this game sounds like its worth $15

I played this game on 360. I thought it was fun! Nice music, story, graphics and combat. It can be very challenging if you want it to be (you can't set the difficulty level before you start, but there is a system built in to the game that let's you buff the enemies. turning on all the buffs makes it hard!). There are some fun side challenges but if you upgrade your weapons then you trivialize most of them, so I suggest trying to do them with minimal upgrades.

Yeah I really loved it too, I have a review up on the site I work for if anyone wants to have a look :

is there multiplayer or anything beyond single player story that will keep me playing it after the first walk through. or is it 15 dollars for 12 hours of entertainment. (i won't play solo twice)

there are combat arenas with leaderboards but I'm not sure how well that works (played with xbox offline the whole time).

Zero Punctuation is a famously negative game reviewer, and he was overall positive about it,which means it's going to be awesome. Watch for a good review of it, if somewhat harsh.

I'm waiting for the PC version, so can't comment yet, but I'm quite excited.

Sweet! thanks, i love zero punctuation, Bastion comes out on the PC tomorow, and From Dust the 17th. Both were delayed almost a month with the XBLA versions out before the pc versions, lets just hope they optimized it for the pc versions!

From what I recall from talking to the creative director, he said that Bastion on PC runs Nativly on 1080p and they remapped all the controls specifically for PC.

I enjoyed bastion, my first play was around 6 hours I didn't rush through. There are mini games for each weapon, it's like a training ground. There is about 10 weapons everything from sword to spear to cannnons and guns. You can customize your weapons a few ways. My second play through was around 2.5 hrs( you don lose your items and upgrades if you start a "newgame+". The bosses can be rather easy but I didn't fool around with the idols too much, they make The game harder. There is no multiplayer not sure what guy above means by combat arenas.

I'd give it a 7.5/10

Edit: I left out he best part, the music on here is very well put together. You will find yourself singing them in your head. xD

I pre-ordered it and steam and just waiting for it to come out so then I can hear that manly voice narrate everything I do.
Had an idea that combines the intimate moment of delivering babies with Crazy Taxi last night. Can emotional arcade style gaming work?

I'm really happy that there was such a short turnaround time for the team to port the game to PC. Will be picking it up on Steam for sure.

I'm also glad it looks to actually be a good game, because the main reason I'm buying it is because Greg Kasavin made it lol.

It was impossible to find when I was looking, Microsoft had stopped selling them. The wired works out the box though. Amazon sells official controllers very cheap. Retail is almost double price.

Amazon has the fake ones for an insane price of 27.99$.

Basically you can just get a wired controller for the same price.

Too bad pre-order doesn't give any bonus. I would've definitely bought it for sure. Now I'm going to wait until there's a discount...yes I'm cheap ): but I'm poor as well. The game sure looks fun though.

No, that's a friend of one of the devs, first time voicing. It's actually like a 5 man team, giantbomb.com had a series of making of videos about the game for months before it's release, fascinating stuff. You meet the narrator too, he seems like a really cool dude.
