Why can't they just make RO1 in 3d that would be awesome lol. Instead they make this wierd thing :-/

It's pretty impossible to make RO in '3d'. The appeal of RO was that it was in 2d, how you can sit in a row next to each other. Oh, and collecting hats, ragnababes love them hats. Gravity should just let the RO franchise die, nothing they make will ever be as good because of nostalgia.

I have childhood memories of this game. I think I played it in 2002? Cannot recall very well, but it was my first MMORPG. I enjoyed playing it a lot. The people were extremely kind as well, with many GMs interacting freely with regular players. So many memories. Reminiscing, I also recall RO being a very polished game. Very.

I'm starting to get really really disappointed with this sequel. We don't want another WoW.

I'm the only one how think this game isnt that bad?
I dont like WoW but i like Ro2, ok it isnt like Ro1 but its not too bad.

A few things i really like to see, but it doesnt happend like:
-More Stats (Dex lower your cast speed, Agi gives aspd). Thats the most sadest thing, it lowers the amount of really different builds
-Great card system|Every card give you other things not only stats
-Some better buffs like Increase Agi increases your Agi and Movement speed. And that not only for 10-14secs...| or ress it has 30minute Cooldown
-Maybe some more sound theme from ro1

Ok thats only a few things and i know that ro2 arent ro1.
Anyways i play the open beta and hope for a european server ._.

I am pretty disappointed how this turned out. Many things annoy me about the game. It is way too much like WoW, but key functions that should be working are not and it's pissing me off. They tried to use the way WoW handles things here and there, but didn't do it as good, and didn't bring anything new. The only thing I liked was the fact that if you're not in range of the action you're trying to make, the characters runs until he is in range and then does the action. It's the only frigging thing that's standing out for me. I'm not trying to bash or anything, I just had a few expectations because I really enjoyed RO1, but they were not met. I recorded myself playing and talking about what I like and what I dislike playing the game, and when I rewatch it theres like 80% negative and 20% positive in what I'm saying. It's that bad :S

I really wish they tried to stay true to the spirit of RO (a game I, too, greatly enjoyed - especially the guild vs guild in it), rather than jump on the wow bandwagon. This game actually originally was in beta before, like 5+ years ago, but it was canned because it was terrible. It hasn't gotten any better.

What they REALLY fked up with on RO2, Is making it Cooldown based combat like WoW.

The original RO was more akin to diablo. If you had the mana, you could keep using that skill.

The change to the card system is stupid. The old method of having it 1 time use 1 time allowed not only there to be a gold sink. but an item sink also in a sense. If you only ever need 1 of each card...the market for farming them will die in a short time.

Overall they just forgot what made the original so good. Just derped went "herma derma wow worked lets herma like them" and failed.

now it's asking me to sign up for a new ro2 account, but i already have one, and there is no log on button, so i try to create a new one but it keeps saying user name taken or something, this shit is not working lol.

just open the ro2client.exe instead of launching it through steam

They wasted their money, holy shit. They could have completely revamped the graphics to RO1 and it would have definitely turned out infinitely more profitable.

In my opinion RO1 was one of best mechanically designed MMORPG. Having dozens of potential elemental enchantments for both armor and defense, and having to constantly hotkey to change them on the fly, and the stat system itself, added some really high skill ceilings to playing the game optimally.

From the looks of it, they didn't waste very much money--this is my opinion no matter which way i tried to slice it and with how much time i forced myself to put into the game.

..and if this was any good, you'd see a lot more hype here than just a couple posts wondering.
Putting this as simply as i can, 100% not recommended for many reasons.

Nope, there is no ro2client.exe in my hard drive. They failed, Can't expect ppl to break and leg just to launch the game. No one is ganna play this shit.
