The lineup I used was this. If you notice more than half my team has water property. + Show Spoiler + Lvl 51 Vaporeon Surf Bite Rest Ice Beam Lvl 50 Lapras Surf Thunderbolt Safeguard Ice Beam Lvl 50 Gyarados Hydro Pump Dragon Dance Earthquake Hyper Beam Lvl 46 Venomoth Psybeam Sleep Powder Stun Spore Psychic Lvl 45 Nidoqueen Strength Bite Dig Superpower Lvl 40 Kabutops Slash Surf Brick Break Rock Tomb In the end only vaporeon was left alive. Gyarados killed my rival's pidgeot but died to his rhydon. Vaporeon wiped the rest of his team with +6 special attack (for those people that don't know how much dmg that is, +6 special makes your special attacks do 4x as much as usual) Lapras solo'd Lorelei and most of Lance. She died to his dragonite and vaporeon finished it up. Venomoth solo'd Bruno and was supposed to solo Agatha too but got killed by her gengar. Vaporeon finished off agatha. Nidoqueen and Kabutops died when I threw them in against my rival's exeggcute and were promptly 1 shotted. If you notice, my team is very underleveled compared to the elite four's pokemon. Safeguard was instrumental in protecting my pokemon from the various statuses like gengar's hypnosis and confusion or other things like paralysis or poison. The stat boosting items gave my underleveled pokemon the firepower needed to 1 shot most of the opposing pokemon. I used a couple of Xspeed to give them the speed boost to always make the 1st move so I can take them out before they can take me out. This challenge was the most fun I had playing a pokemon game and I encourage other people to try it out. Next I'll probably play HG/SS if I can figure out how to get it to work. | ||

60 Blastoise Ice Beam Surf Bite Brick Break 58 Jolteon Shockwave Tbolt Thunder Twave 52 Snorlax Body Slam Brick Break Rest Sleep Talk 52 Vileplume Giga Drain Petal Dance Sleep Powder Moonlight 51 Pidgeot Fly Wing Attack Featherdance Quick Attack 55 Hypno (I grinded at the end because I had nothing to beat Agatha with  )Psychic ...some other stuff I never used This was with only buying Pokeballs, although all picked up items could be used (including status heals, not including potions, berries, or revives), SET battle mode, and all the other standard Nuzlocke rules. Jolteon did the bulk of the damage, with a Mild nature and some EV training (Berry Forest/Seafoam Islands are both great Special EV training locations. Target Glooms and Golducks.), Jolteon had a crazy SpAtk around 170 and basically OHKO'd all of Lorelei with Thunderbolt, except for Jynx who I walled with Snorlax. Pidgeot died against Bruno >_> fucking Machamp Bulked Up and I couldn't do shit. Cross Chop 75%+ loolol Hypno died against Agatha after taking out Gengar and Golbat, which was suboptimal but I made do with a lot of Sleep Powder -> Moonlight -> Switch! gayness from Vileplume Lance was actually ez although I fucked up and let Snorlax die to Hyper Beam, but not before it killed both Dragonairs and Body Slammed Dragonite. Special walled that shit like a bosss. Actually I forgot that Hyper Beam was physical in this game so QQ -_- Vileplume I used for a free switch against rival. Blastoise died to Arcanine's Extremespeed and Jolteon finished it off, so in the end only Jolteon survived. But that's okay because Jolteon is baller. It was fun, going to do the same with RSE now. | ||

You have to catch the first pokemon you see in each route. You are not allowed duplicate pokemon. If the first pokemon I see is a duplicate do i consider that route a total loss? | ||

Some people consider it a loss and other people catch the 1 pokemon encountered that's not a duplicate. The point of the challenge is to add a little difficulty therefore making it more exciting and fun so don't get too hung up on the rules. | ||
