I switched over to Europe and played my level 18 HC wiz over there. The power went out as soon as I got into a fight :x

Does anyone else would like to be able to see the stats of the items they've sold? I would love to be able to learn to know what sells and what stats are attractive by experience rather than memorizing what I see on the forums, those past items that I've sold would've been benchmarks for me. Has this idea been raised or mentioned so far (i.e. blizzard being aware that people would like this)?

omg I agree 100%.

I've just resorted to the low tech solution of writing it all down in a notebook, so I can see what types of items I've had success selling and which ones I haven't.

omg I agree 100%.

Good plan, I think I might do that too. I will also write my wish to blizzard if it hasn't been raised a hundred times already.

how about letting it show you what your previous buyout was when an item doesnt sell, so u have an idea what to set it to next time?
I have to screenshot and save it in paint everytime I put up auctions
also why you cant search for more than 3 stats or filter for stats on specific legendaries just boggles my mind

Right now as the game is itemized now, you can start inferno with gear ~15-20% of max, finish inferno at 30-40%. That's what he wanted to do... obviously he isn't gonna live very long doing that.

Are you joking or did you not even read the post? His points are valid. Ps I don't think the game is hard. Act 1 was hard until I geared up on auction. Now its a joke. Act 3 is tough for me, but once I get more boring gear (cause the itemization is broken as mentioned in the post) it will be zzzz ez. Yet I find myself agreeing with the article.

Yes. Some of his points are valid. Some of his ain't. He comes off as another one who complains that he can't just 1a to victory, even after Blizzard nerfed Inferno to satisfy players like him. If he didn't whine about being undergeared, I would have agreed with much more of his post.


The problem is that the only way to beat the game is through 1a.

Terribly stupid game mechanics such as crowd control completely remove micro from the equation. Oh look arcane sentries I'm going to dodge them, OH WAIT I GOT FEARED. so. freaking. stupid. All crowd control affixes should be removed, period.

So instead I just gear up until I can get chain feared/frozen while being hit by desecration and plague and laugh at the damage. so yeah, 1a (good ol' tank and spank) is the only way to beat the game as a meelee. skill is thrown out the window due to how badly designed this game is.

i only have a barb, but i imagine other classes get hard countered by bs such as reflect damage. pretty sure that's an insta death for DH if they're not careful. in d2 vs iron maiden you could be smart and switch into a weapon like a wand that did low physical damage but tons of elemental damage. or switch to a skill that did all elemental damage. no such luck in d3. i've seen mortar and vortex roflstomp glass cannons as well. like i said, completely stupid abilities that you cannot avoid via "skill" or micro. its like they tried to make the game an MMO.

AWFUL DESIGN.


At its core, Diablo is a very simple game. Simplicity in its gameplay is one of the biggest reasons it became so popular. When a game is simple, there's a limit to how legitimately difficult developers can make it. And we can see this in inferno difficulty right now. The developers couldn't do much of anything except resort to extremely cheap, cheesy abilities and straight up gear checks.

There is little skill in the game. It's not the game you play when you want to showcase elite videogame skill. It's the game you play when you get cheesed 20 times in a row in SC2 ladder and need to bash something easy to take your frustration out on. The sooner developers and a certain very vocal segment of the player base understands this, the better.

To me, D2 became more fun as I went from normal to hell difficulty. D3 is the opposite. The gear grind to get adequately geared for later acts in inferno is just mind numbingly boring. It's funny also that they want people to farm elite/champion packs while they are the least fun encounters in the game because of their design.


Diablo is not a game of skill per se, but there is "micro" you can do to end up with far more favorable engagements. As a meelee, repositioning yourself constantly so that you only fight one elite at a time (instead of being swarmed), or engaging only at chokepoints. As a ranged, kiting. There is map awareness and reflexes required. In D2, you could up the "difficulty" by coming up with "fun" builds like a paladin ranger (seriously) or a meelee sorc (seriously). In D3, there arent many viable builds.

They did manage to come up with some good fun mechanics, provided they tweak them. I love arcane sentries. You have to dodge them, which is a lot of fun. It takes "skill". Dodging desecration is a good idea too. The frozen balls on the ground are a nice touch, because it requires "skill" to run away, but instead of freezing your character, it should just slow them instead.

Bottom line the game would be more enjoyable if they got rid of affixes that remove micro.

Theres a way to check it, but you have to do it before you send the gold to your stash

go to "completed" tab in AH -> open up chat box -> shift-click the gold icon of the item you just sold -> enter -> click on the link to see stats

just to clarify, I said I had 25-35 mill worth of items currently on the AH that, if sold, I could use to craft items. I mentioned this because I wasn't sure if 15 mill, which I currently have, is enough to craft shoulders.

Has anyone here crafted shoulders? If so, how many do you craft per batch to make a profit?

edit: went ahead and bought enough mats for 100 crafts, could be a big mistake but oh well

That's an upgrade from having no information at all. Those shamans have never had any indication of what affixes that had before. Is this an EU patch? Apparently it's just an explicit way of saying "invulnerable minions".

its nothing to do with patch, its just a glitch that sometimes shows on the shamans, been around forever

For example, if you want Andys visage with dex and a socket, you would do lvl 60, legendary, and helm, and then search for attack speed (to get rid of other lvl 60 legendary helms), socket and dex.

AS is no normal helm-stat. Therefore you cannot search for it, even if you set the filter to legendary.
For Andys you need to search for: Poison resist, Life Regeneration, and Crit.
Get rid of one stat (probably crit) and input the one stat (dex, int,...) you want to have. Then search.

What people want is basically saying:
"Andariels Visage"
"Dex - Armor - Socket". And it only shows Andys with Dex /armor /socket.
