One workaround is to change the Battle.net language to English (it may seem like it already is set on English so do this even though you think it is).

This should probably go into the "first online experience thread" but,
My first online experience with a game was at my friends house when he showed me Diablo.
I already owned starcraft but never knew about battle.net until that day. The game blew my mind that I could chat with these other people in this dark gloomy world......and then it happened at 3 a.m.

You have to keep in mind you were older when you played D2.

I quite like the graphics. They have a soft touch that makes the enviroments look a bit dreamlike, while not being cartoony.
Not sure about the classes though. In D1 and D2 they seemed more like hardened warriors that fit in with the lore of the world. D3 classes seems more "hero"-like, and not all are entirely fitting. Especially the demon hunter, which I can't really see as a suitable replacement to the assassin/amazon, which IMO are far more suitable in the Diablo world. Guess they couldn't figure out how to create a male amazon and went for DH instead.

hahaha yea me and a friend playing diablo 1 on playstation and when the butcher comes in to play we run through the whole map up the stairs into my the previous level just to catch a breath.

I'm still playing diablo 2... Diablo 3 is going to be the death of me, clearly.
I'm also not quite sure if I agree the way they are moving with the game, with a more gleary wow/wc3 style look. And I really liked the previous mood they had set in their previous diablo franchises, more mature, dark, almost gross. Which really makes it diablo.
...But then again, its blizzard, and honestly, they can do whatever they want with their games, they can delay it a hundred times, in the end, I know i'll be totally stuck playing it. A company with such a flawless track record is something not to be reckoned with,

I played Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 and LoD for many many years and when I see the LIMITED amount of content out on D3, I think wow nice, it's Diablo with updated graphics. I know a lot of people have an issue with the graphics but as a die hard, old Diablo fan, I don't see the issue. I think it looks fantastic and still keeps the Diablo feel.
On a side note, these types of concerns are always raised when a sequel to an amazing game is getting released. People seem to want Diablo 2.5 instead of the next, full fledged installment, and I honestly get that. I feel like that too, but so far I have no reason to think D3 won't be amazing and stand the test of time. I will hold off my ultimate judgement until at least the beta is released.
