Also, the reason you cant switch instantly without menu is that you are supposed to choose 6 skills and not switch around for every monster. This is because there is no talent tree, so you have every skill available. If you would be able to use all of them at all times, it would probably affect gameplay negatively. just pretend the 6 chosen skills are the skills you would have invested in if there were talent trees.

After about an hour of errors the servers calmed down and everyone got in fine. Game is fucking fun, I reallllllly love what they've done with the enemies, they require micro and strategy to kill and all behave differently. The skills are great too, you really have to use them all in combination to get a good result. So far I'm very impressed and it all seems extremely polished so far. The items are a bit boring but it seems like they are introducing stuff slowly as you go along, so its getting cooler. Cant wait for all the Act bosses on hell/inferno, its gonna be really challenging and fun, Act 1 boss was sick. the skill/rune menu is a bit of a shitfest, wayyyy too many nested menus to see what you have available or have just unlocked, but whatever.

If you join up with others right off the bat, odds are they will just fly through things and won't give you a chance to properly experience the game. This is the main reason why I'll probably solo my run through normal, unless it's with a friend who also wants to experience the story.

Everyone who says it doesn't feel like diablo is just wrong... I find it excellent. Having gone through act 2, I also feel like saying the game is too bright is complete and utter horse shit too. Oh, and also: + Show Spoiler + Belial mad hard man. Dude 1shots you.. I rolled a Demon Hunter, and I'm honestly having a ton of fun. All the skills viable/useful, nothing stupid or overpowered, and the game is actually like really hard. Basically half the bosses can do combos that will legitimately chunk you so hard. As a DH once i got passed the Closed beta area I literally needed to kite enemies in order to not die... granted you have a slowx2, a huge teleport etc available so it isn't necessarily hard to kite just it surprised me that kiting was even necesary in normal. I never used to kite on my D2 Sorcs in Hell. You just didn't need to, things just died and Mana shield OP.

As a game in the Diablo series I feel so disappointed it's lost the feeling, there is nothing dark about it so much so that the amazing cinematic looks almost out of place because they are dark and have a horror feel to them that the game lacks. No one's forcing you to continue playing if you don't like it. Go back and play D1 or D2 all you like. I haven't played yet but I've seen tons of streams and the gameplay looks fucking AMAZING. It's a vast improvement over D2.

Game is definitely fun, they nailed the monster killing. Controls are tight, things are fluid, and even with the basic skills, you feel "powerful." Me, my brother, and one of our old WoW buddies made it a little bit passed Leoric. Not as far as we anticipated, but was still fun. Looking forward to getting through hopefully act 2 tonight. Edit: Anyone else have 10 characters of the same name/class waiting for you if you logged in this morning? Apparently remnants of all the failed attempts last night.

Died a few times, mostly because of me being too overzealous ![]() Died once at the butcher, and once to 2 moon clan shaman packs that I double pulled. Was a bit disappointed that they didn't reuse the voice of the old butcher, this one wasn't as scary. Totally digging the class, and looking forward to act 2. How many acts are there? I'm currently using Hungering Arrow/Rapid Fire/Caltrops/Vault and absolutely loving it.
