edit: also I got to this page in the application did I barely dodge a bullet? "Thank you for registering. Your country of residence has been registered successfully. You can verify your country of residence from the "Account Information" screen on the Square Enix Account Management System." | ||

One thing WoW has over many, many, mmo's is responsiveness. You tell your character to move forward, he moves forward. There is no one second delay between your keyboard and the game (latency allowing). Its what makes a game fun. Being able to jump, do a 180 midair, and blink in the opposite direction everyone assumes you to go is a really cool and effective thing to do. But yeah, I guess you could get used to a game that responds to your commands slower than Atlantica, which is turn based. FFIV is like getting used to taste of piss in your water - "once he got used to it, he finally agreed that nothing was wrong" YMMV but unless you are absolutely brainwashed into loving something because it says "final fantasy" on it, your probably going to be disappointed. Coupled with spending more time downloading it than actually playing... just saving some people the grief. And ya, if the lvl 1 experience is unbearable for the better part of 3 hours (Competing with everyone for spawns, spawns of ridiculously high level monsters the first thing you see leaving the first city, spending more time dead, or with rez sickness then actually fighting, fighting consisting of pressing 1 button every 3-5 seconds) then why would you keep playing? I play games to have fun, I don't feel the need to buy a game then earn the fun parts. | ||
