For example, if you have a spy in Mumbai, he might learn Gandhi is plotting to attack China. That's a valuable piece of intel derived from the AI system itself, and if you then open up a dialogue with China, you have the option to inform Wu Zetian of Gandhi's plans. If you do, you'll gain a friend in the Chinese lady, while the warmonger Gandhi will be less happy with you. Does this make any sense to anybody... I mean what good is covert if your enemy or both enemies know that you leak their intentions to another nation... Also:

Any tips on the differences between 4 and 5? ![]() Cities can defend themselves and are quite strong. You'll often find yourself sieging cities over several turns. You don't need doomstacks to fight a war. An army of 5 or 6 units can be very dangerous already. Happiness is global now. Every city generates ~3 unhappiness. Every citizen a city generates ~1 unhappiness. So founding a new city generates ~4 unhappiness. Keep that in mind while expanding. You don't need roads to connect resources anymore, just the improvement. Roads also cost 1 gold maintenance now, so dont spam them. Have fun.

Edit: Oh, and go Liberty 100% of the time. Other openings are viable but it's impossible to make a mistake by filling out the Liberty tree.

Or some way I can move around the map by pushing the mouse to the edge of the screen rather than having to click and drag myself around :/

Anybody heard of this and know a fix? Or some way I can move around the map by pushing the mouse to the edge of the screen rather than having to click and drag myself around :/ Hmm, I play in windowed and I use the mouse to move around the map, perhaps there's an option for it like in SC2?

I need a reason to get back into this game. I played each one since Civ 2. Can't say for sure which one is my favorite.

Can't say for sure which one is my favorite. Just a few so far. Definitely download the rise of the mongols scenario, that one's particularly hard at the higher difficulties. I've personally found that the DLC is a little underwhelming, lots of good little mods, but nothing too great that reels me in for days at a time.
