If she makes top 8, though, basically no matchups from Group B look favorable for her to make the semis unless she goes on a run like this tournament again.
Definitely possible. We'll have to see if she can keep her cool and play like she did @ IEM. Bare hyped to see what happens regardless!

Regardless of if Scarlett gets second or first in Group A, I think there's going to be 1-2 Zergs from Group B. soO and Dark may be good at ZvZ, but they're not flawless. ZvZ is a matchup that is more volatile than the other two mirrors, and I think it's Scarlett's best chance at making the ro4. Now if Scarlett has to face aLive or TY...then it would be a lot more difficult.
You know, I've lurked on this site for the longest time and never until now felt the need to make an account. There's just too much hype to not be shared with other like-minded folks. Congratulations Scarlett, that win was incredible to watch.
Hopefully, Scarlett can keep up her level. It's just a couple bo3s in GSL, so there's definitely some volatility there. She has practically no time before playing again, and on top of GSL, she's also playing in the Taco Cup this weekend.
A cyclical analysis showed she should be 1st or 2nd spot this tournament and actually a big favorite at final game, so it was easy way betting all they way on sports betting sites.
Timing is right on the spot 2011 first tournament wins so excactly 8th year. For Sos this could have marked turning point for career downhill (from high fly at least), later this year we will see if indeed career downhill starting point. If scarlett continues to play after this year she will more than not likely continue to play at leat 7.8 to 8.9 years more as a pro. Usually 8th year is peak performance or slump and downhill start.
For players such as neeb and serral they will almost guarantee to play next 2 years more, then either peak or total slump year at the end of first cycle.
The game might change from sc2 to sc3 at some point. This is what we've seen with broodwar players too who continued to play after first 8 they will play at least 16. Same with many counter strike veterans, who have been on top for 14 years now.
In general players who play at pro level the longest are the most talented as passion follows talent not the other way around. As long as players feel they have an edge on majority of players they are more likely to continue and vice versa players who quit dont feel the edge. There are plenty of players who come and go with maybe 1 peak year in their whole career but that's it.
In general practise is hugely overrated. Talent accounts of all results on variety of games about 85-to 95% of performance and after a certain point players are not likely to improve. In sc2 i would estimate practise accounts slightly more than games such as counter-strike where the absolute best pro veterans can largerly rely on their born talent and stay on top for a decade with a kinda lazy practise, despite the competition and player counts being one of the largest of all competitive online games than in sc2, for example.
That is why most sc2 pros win at young age already, scarlett too was very talented from the beginning.

I feel like we should immortalize Scarlett's most epic games/series/runs by putting the vod links on the Fan Club page. Like game 3 vs bomber at red bull (really any scarlett vs bomber games), vs dream at iem, protossing drg at mlg, cheesing out parting at red bull, her win just now vs sOs, and her sick ZvZs (vs Life, Rogue, Elazer, Serral, etc.).
Did they put any photos from the event anywhere? I'd like to add those. For the FC. Not the hairstyle thread. Def not. <_<
Side note: Does the front page load better/worse, is it fine for you all? Hard to tell if it's my PC/internet/browser chugging or the page itself, I always worry about it when I add more links and videos, even under all the spoilers I redid.

If I ever go the front page loads fine but I just go to last usually.
Btw the new hairstyle should be number one on the hairstyle thread.

I figure most of the "regulars" go to last, but that's good to know.
