I'm thoroughly enjoying 08th MS team right now, but does anyone have any anime recommendations suitable for a 12 year old? I want to get a series as a gift for my youngest brother (he's never watched or gotten into an actual series).

He can handle anything (that's the age I watched stuff like Bebop), but I'm not sure if my parents would get upset with content (sexual or suggestive, pretty much) such as the stuff shown in Bebop or Champloo (my first picks).

Basically, I'm looking for a good anime that is badass enough to hold the attention of a kid. And with decent English dubs of course . Maybe Trigun? I don't know.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann would be a great choice, but I don't know how good the dub is.

I just finished watching Unlimited Blade Works, and as I expected you just can't cram a story as big as Fate/Stay Night into 1 movie.

No, that's way to vague a ground for him to be using such terms. Think I'll reread the last 2 pages first to see exactly what was the point we are trying to make.

Oh and I finally got to UBW, zzzzzzz. Though I just hate F/SN in general, Ataraxia so much better.

Have you just read the summary of Ataraxia, or can you read the moonrunes? Is there some Ataraxia patch that's been eluding me for the past couple of years? ._.

I read the moonrunes like Southlight, sorry. Though like I've said several times in the past in this thread, you won't need more than 2 years of an average college level course to be able to read most of this. Probably.

Speaking of patches, nothing from Beast's Lair or anything? I thought there were works on Ataraxia. Honestly though Karen just interested me much more as a character than Saber/Rin/Sakura, even if F/SN had better thematic elements, the character relationships that form the basis for such things are just too fail for me to be able to put up with it. Or in other words, Kohaku ftw.

EDIT - Wait, Uta, what exactly was that void? The attempt for the Grail system to reform itself after the destruction by Saber?

DenYuuDen skipping past most of the stupid crap and goes right into Roland arc, wohoo, maybe they'll mix in some of the funnies because the short stories for Roland arc was in general much funnier than the others.

Amagami 14 was hilarious. This arc is so good. Here's a summary of the episode:

I think we got some more TK voice acting in this episode. The grasshopper mask English was just way too good for it to be anyone else.

The Ataraxia translation patch was only 40% done last time I checked. I don't think the main route is even complete yet.
Edit: I just checked. It's 43.3% done. Looks like Little Busters is making good progress too.

Question: Did anyone read/play "Ever17 -the out of infinity-" and if so, how would you rate it? It's #1 in the rankings, right before Clannad and Fate/stay night. Since I never really read anything about it, can this game really be THAT good?

I really liked Ever 17. Or at least Coco's (or whatever the girls name is, I forget) was really great. Some of the routes before that are just meh, but if you stick with it to that final route, you probably won't be disappointed.

Fairly highly, but not perfect. Also the base Japanese copy of the game blew because the skip feature was horribly coded, but that shouldn't be an issue for anyone here >_>

The new company did some sort of re-release with a compilation of all the games but that doesn't help people who already read it and aren't really intending to re-read it ;p
