Apparently the whole "romance" angle is just the typical anime bait and switch for "comedic" purpose. I hate that.

I'm paraphrasing, but that person basically said they would not watch the anime because they have read the manga and the romance is mostly background noise brought up for comedic purpose but isn't developed in any meaningful way and essentially goes nowhere. They said it's handled in an immature way typical for a lot of anime. I have watched my fair share of those anime to draw my own conclusions from that statement. If that's not true for Dandadan and my interpretion was wrong, then I would be glad. I hope your are right.

Eh it feels like awkward teenager romance that has definite progression to it.
I guess we can stop with the spoilers now (unless you're mentioning stuff that's not in the anime yet). In any case the romance in DDD right now feels quite OK. I like the characters and chemistry between them and I absolutely love the fact that they actually resolve their issues and talk about stuff instead of having this constant and annoying situation where one or both are going off of some misunderstanding and misconception and it just slows everything down unnecessarily because it could be easily resolved if they just talked to each other.

Well, they are angsty teenagers so it's to be expected and as long as it's not overblown, which it isn't imho, then I'm fine with that.
watching: Ashita no Joe (spanish dub): holy shit i cant believe how sad and dark the atmosphere of the anime is. the animation still holds imo i just wish i could watch it with subs. wtf!!! there are 2 different seasons???? it looks like i was watching Ashita no Joe 2??!!! fuuuuck im kind of mad now. i will stop watching it in D+ fuck!
watching but still early to decide: Murai no Koi and Blue box
Fate: Strange Fake is back! My only hope is that it'll be a full series this time and not just one random episode and the next one showing up in 2 years...

Anyways, shoutout the guys who did the ED. The animation is glorious and the music slaps, especially the bass.
I read the manga, and yeah this should have been done over 2 cours. Anime onlys haven't only seen the entire cast yet.
Solo Leveling is a given. There's a lot being cut and the peak fights feel rushed. But overall, sure, it's pretty amazing. Sakamoto Days haven't read the manga but it looks entertaining enough. Plot is silk thread thin, but it has its moments. I left my A rank Party is decent. The Red Mage is rocking that MC mantle pretty damn hard and he's likeable. Not sure how I feel about harmes being so damn pervasive this season, but this is a good one. Welcome to Japan, Ms Elf was not on my list but glad I gave it a try. A good slow SOL that I think a lot would like. Ubel Blatt is a slow burn but damn is it good. DB Daima just made SSJ4 canon. I can die happy. Also, SSJ3 Vegeta is goated I May Be a Guild Receptionist is entertaining. Not a fan of the MC being a tsundere OP adventurer, but she has her moments that make it not as terrible. Trillion Game is pretty entertaining. The art style kinda grated on me but I'm okay with it now. Rurouni Kenshin It's def different from the OG but it's good and the fights are just as good. So def worth From Salaryman to Villainess is another isekai but with a much better twist. I like it.
Nothing from this season speaks to me but I got Orb and Ao no Hako carrying over from last season. Orb's solid but Ao no Hako really surprised me, it's so well done imho.
Solo Leveling - I'm in it mostly to see if they actually change stuff from the manhwa. It would be good if they fixed some stuff that had to be done in fan-created continuations because the main story left too many hanging and unresolved threads.
Aphothecary Diaries - CSI fantasy China is fine.
Blue Box - was good at the beginning but as it progressed it fell into too many tropes and it's pretty much indistinguishable from your typical romance anime #532523452.
Shangri-La: Frontier - it's OK. Can't wait until we get into the fighting game tournament arc because whatever's happening inside SLF itself is rather slow at the moment.
The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World - this one took me by surprise. It's not the most innovative or even well made but somehow it's very fun and I'm enjoying it a lot.
Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms - kinda typical high-school slightly ecchi romcom. Bog standard stuff for the most part.
I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class - ditto.
Pantheon - the holy grail. Best SF I have seen in decades across any media. If you haven't seen it yet, go do it now. It's even available on Netflix now (at least S1 with S2 coming soon and the entire show is just 2 seasons for the whole story).
