If what just happened is what I think is what just happened, then I'm gonna be mad. I don't think women died out on Altair. I'm thinking that the planet turns women into men. RIP Mix's tits! This would mean that the longer that Zessica and Yunoha stay on the planet, they are in danger too!
MSN conversation-reaction with a friend of mine:
Sentenal says: yo... dont tell me this is mix........ Feez says: im watching atm... wtf wtf wtf Sentenal says: yo...... Feez says: are you telling me they turned mix into a guy or something WTF Sentenal says: what the fuck..... Feez says: FUCK THIS SHOW I QUIT AQUARION Feez says: dropped dropped like the fist of the north star or whatever the fuck the saying is fucking dropppppped Sentenal says: dude i feel really really bad for andy now wtf is he gonna do?!?!? Feez says: hes just gonna fukin kill himself thats what id do what the fuck are u gonna do, turn gay?!?! no u just fukin kill yourself end ur misery
LOL planet definitely has weird substance that changes women to men. Honestly, as soon as they talked about "new soldier" I thought of a brainwashed Mix. By the time they took her him captive, I was 100% sure it was Mix lacking memories. I mean this whole kidnapping, brainwashing into other side, then chance meeting during rescue mission is so cliched but when I saw lack of boobs I was just like "no...*facepalm* I REALLY hope I'm wrong and I'm getting trolled with obvious cliched plot twist" but NOPE. sigh, Zessica you need to get out. now. please don't turn all the females into men.

Animetake.com is pretty good for series releasing eps weekly. Not good for batch downloads though. tpb kinda sucks since it's mostly dubbed anime which I don't want.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice how skinny Laxus got?
Either its just a decrease in artwork quality and the drawers are too lazy to get the proportions right. Or they wanted to signify how being "exiled" has gotten him skinnier, not that it had any effect on his strength, as seen when he one-hits Natsu.
Maybe because he used to have that giant ass leather jacket earlier which he doesn't have anymore, also I wouldn't call it laziness, maybe they just decided it would be better this way. I like giving them benefit of the doubt.
Anyway I heard this arc was filler, maybe it's going to finally have at least C (that's a grade) fights? I'm very disappointed with the fights in fairy tail, it's always the same thing, usually about friendship, faith, etc., they try too hard to give everyone different powers (chicken man? summons a wall of omellette? Really? God..) but it doesn't really do them any good. I furthermore do not like how every attack has a name, not only does it sound awkward (to us, at least) but it makes the fights so cheap. If they had freedom to do whatever the fuck they wanted, I feel the show would mature like that. I'm going to make a comparison to bleach, which has their fights done really, really well on a pure fight level. I like ft more than bleach, don't get me wrong, but the fights in ft are just horrible in comparison. In bleach there were always 'holy shit' moments that just blew my mind out of the fucking skull, I think there have been maybe 2 holy shit moments in fairy tail so far and I don't think they were in battles. If i had to make a comparison with naruto, naruto battles carry much, much more psychological power to them. Like you know that it's a battle of ideals, it's presented that way, people actually get cut and die, there is always the possibility of someone making a random hit that kills someone. Literally everything in ft comes down to a power level versus a power level, which personally I never liked in the first place, after 130 episodes it's just getting bad. They also never create any interesting villains, it's always the same thing. Some foreshadowing, party gets beat down by 'black' (not gray) party of villains, bla bla, they fight again and this time with help of some white power (friendship, love, faith, you know what I mean) their power level clashes with the villains again and this time the party wins. Flashbacks of villains backstory, now they are made from black to white and everything is (usually) forgiven. The same formula is used every time and it's starting to bore me. Jellal is the only interesting person in the series, to be completely honest. Now other than that I really like the show, it has good humor, other than what I've said it's trying to keep up with a maturer audience (+- 16-18), you care for the characters, etc. etc. The fact that the fights are so horrible and that the villains aren't interesting are starting to kill the show for me, though
Fairy Tail is pretty much a generic shounen anime, can't expect too much from it. I just watch it for the characters and the fan service, which is what most people do I think.

I actually watch it for the plot, character development, and comedy. Fight scenes and fanservice come second for me.

Eureka Seven is one of my favorite series, but Renton was definitely whinier than he could have been. That being said, he was a hell of a lot better than Shinji Ikari, but I digress. I'm disappointed that Funi is two weeks behind, and may at some point lose enough of my patience to close the gap with fansubs, but before that can happen I have to wait until I move off-campus and get an ISP that doesn't block BitTorrent. Anyway, I hadn't read anything substantial about the plot before watching episodes 1 and 2, but it wasn't even remotely difficult to correctly guess Ao's identity (then the episode 2 preview tried slapping me in the face with it, lol). After watching the end of the first series for the first time, I remember quite clearly how content I was with how it ended, but also how badly I wanted a sequel of some sort. The first two episodes of Astral Ocean have me totally pumped to see where BONES takes the rest of the series.
Thanks to the people who recommended Full Metal Alchemist to me.
What is FMA: Brotherhood to FMA? A continuation? A sequel? Should I watch it right after I finish FMA? No spoilers please, I still have about 10 episodes of FMA to go

Both Brotherhood and the original start from the beginning. The original anime has more filler/anime original stuff in the beginning, but its paced well and serves as good character development. Brotherhood goes past that alot quicker, and gets to material that the original anime never got to faster.
You can go straight into Brotherhood without watching any of the original. Its not like Brotherhood is a sequel or anything, its a remake.

Imo don't bother with Brotherhood if you like original FMA. I thought Brotherhood was just wrecking everything I liked about the original one. :/ If you really want to watch it, don't do it immediately after either. Watch something else.
Personally I watched FMA first, then Brotherhood about 2 months later.
I felt like when it comes to the episodes that were about the same in both of them, the original FMA was better - but when it comes to the story as a whole, Brotherhood is way better than the original.
Don't watch them right after each other, it will just be weird and you will be annoyed by animation/voice actor differences etc.

I watched brotherhood first and original shortly after and I got bored out of my mind at around ep 30. Watching them close after each other is definitely not recommended.
