You just might be one of them, so if you didnt enjoy it first time then don't give it another try since it probably means you're one of them. Yea probably, forgive my lack of intellect and understanding of philosophy. I guess Monster probably didnt have any psychological or philosophical themes. Thats probably why it was so good. edit: Oh and Ill decide for myself what I want to watch thank you very much.

So, a glimt from Kiritsugu's past. It seems he strictly stuck to his philosophy of killing 1 to prevent 10 deaths even as a child, given he would even kill his father to stop him.Really really powerful episode overall, liked it a lot. Best twist to OBLIGATORY BEACH EPISODE in quite some time imo! Preview hints at that next episode is the continuation of that and his path to becoming a hunter of magi, but could simply be a summary of what happened in between but that is very unlikely.. + Show Spoiler [Upotte!! 5] + Holy fucking shit no brakes on this crazytrain. It's getting a bit dull though.

Pretty interesting episode. The glimpse into Kiritsugu's past, and what made him start on the road to becoming the Magi Hunter was a nice touch. He was so enigmatic before, nothing like a MC should be ![]()

It's interesting to see how different their relationship is compared to Utsumi x Yuki or Utsumi x Shou.

Anime from 8 years ago shouldn't be a problem. Stuff from the 80s and 90s can sometimes be a problem, but if the series is well known enough, even then you can find subs relatively easy. What are you looking for in particular?

+ Show Spoiler + These ship designs are gorgeous. I can see they put alot of efforts into all these different ship designs every episode. ![]() Oh yeah, and also nice to finally see some ship vs ship actions.

+ Show Spoiler + I find his reasons for killing his father a bit troubling. It seems to me that it's mostly because he caused that girl's death... indirectly. Feels to me that Kiritsugu's goal is perhaps to destroy akasha? I can see that he might contribute the misery in his life to the people who blindly seek it, like his father was.

I can see that he might contribute the misery in his life to the people who blindly seek it, like his father was. + Show Spoiler + Kiritsugu's father was responible for the Dead Apostle outbreak in the village. Although things didn't go as planned for his father, and he didn't directly cause it, it was still his research that caused the entire city to get wiped out. And then he showed no remorse, and planned to run away and try again. It wasn't entirely because Shirley died, although that played a role. It basically showed him that renegade magus tend to create hell on earth and not give a shit. Kiritsugu also felt really guilty for allowing the whole thing to happen. He could have saved the town if he had killed Shirley when she asked him too, but he ran away, and you saw what happened. So that played a part as well. So killing his father was also a means of Kiritsugu to try and redeem himself. So lots of different thoughts and emotions were in play. Akasha is the root of the universe, so to speak. It isn't a person or anything. All knowledge and events come from it etc etc sorta. Type Moon shit can be confusing. Anyway, magus want to access it. Destroying it would probably result in the destruction of the universe, so I don't think hes planning to do that lol
