I was quite happy that something good finally happened with Dany's story. I was getting a bit sick of her's not really going anywhere. So I thought that was quite well done. I don't know what I would point to as my favourite part in the episode to be honest. I really enjoyed all of it. The actor who plays Varys does one hell of a job, the more screen time he gets the more I get interested in his character. But now a long wait for next year. Going to be rough.

And what the hell? Why did Dany just put that girl in the vault? I liked her. She's the only reason Dany isn't still Drogo's fuckpuppet.... Dany owes her so much and she just makes her starve to death....? What a bitch. I really don't like TV Denaeris, I hope book Dany is more likeable. How cool would it've been Viserys was in her place? His scenes were always so much fun to watch. He would've made a really fun anti-hero/villain imo. Anyway, episode was still good. I'm glad Theon isn't dead (oh wait... they traded him to get out alive? I hope he won't die...), he's such an interesting character. White Walker was great.

![]() I liked that guy so much. Shame he had to die... Fucking ironborn, I hope they all rot. The last '...Hodor' nearly made me tear up. Jaqen/Arya was great as always, though I was disappointed that the fat kid and Gendry didn't have any lines. I don't think there really were any scenes this episode that I didn't like. Varys/Ros was kinda funny too. That look of Varys when she tried to grab his crotch...

The moment when Jaqen changed his face was so fantasy-esque, I loved it. And of course sexy Margaery, huehue.

What i did not get, the White Walker looked at Sam and then kept going on with his business. Isnt their goal to kill and turn people and shit? why leave the fatty to live?

As you know, the books and the show are primarily character driven. When changes are made which cause a character to be viewed in a fundamentally different light, disappointment is the usual result. Over-all I enjoyed the season, but the biggest disappointment for me was the Winterfell plot. For me, that was the most monumentous occasion in the whole of the second book, and it didn't even get a scene showing it happen. The way it is burned isn't even logically coherent in the show. And the fates of Rodrick Cassel and Maester Luwin, while ultimately the same, were met under drastically different circumstances.

I think I got it right. And the killings were also most magic and visions. Every step of the way 'dany' was thrown an illusion to keep her there. Can't wait for next season I guess. No, Qarth is still super rich, the illusion was Xaro's vast wealth that he would be willing to give to Dany to conquer Westeros.

The reason I (and many other book readers) feel dissapointment is not because HBO can't squeeze everything into the show, but because they have made some pretty key changes to important events. As you know, the books and the show are primarily character driven. When changes are made which cause a character to be viewed in a fundamentally different light, disappointment is the usual result.
