What i did not get, the White Walker looked at Sam and then kept going on with his business. Isnt their goal to kill and turn people and shit? why leave the fatty to live? my guess is that he sensed that sam was a harmless coward... and left him. if they killed everyone on sight, then noone would know they existed! ![]()

-It was kind of expected that Jon was going to kill Qhorin. I think their previous scenes after being captured implied this very well. Without those scenes, the killing alone wouldn't make any sense. -Winterfell finale was very open and I believe they probably saved this storyline to be tackled at the beggining of Season 3. Otherwise it would make not sense. -I think even though Varys is a great character, by showing only the look that he gave to littlefinger after he received the Castle would have been enough, I mean probably the Ros scene was not needed, unless she is up to something really important and big in S3 (besides her boobs). -Will Littlefinger take little dove's flower next Season? He did say he needed to get some sons and grandsons ![]()

The same reason they left Will alive in S01E01, no one has a clue

The battle of blackwater is some of the more epic things to have aired on television. The two worst? Don't you mean the opposite?

I was really looking forward to this episode and did enjoy it. It did leave me with a kind of "Oh, that was it?" feeling though. I guess my expectations were too high after that brilliant finale of season 1. It also seemed a bit rushed at some points even though it was a 70min episode. People have commented negatively on the Qarth story line here. I actually quite enjoyed it, especially with the twist at the end now. I'm really looking forward to the third season. The north and the south are closing in.

The reason I (and many other book readers) feel dissapointment is not because HBO can't squeeze everything into the show, but because they have made some pretty key changes to important events. As you know, the books and the show are primarily character driven. When changes are made which cause a character to be viewed in a fundamentally different light, disappointment is the usual result. Over-all I enjoyed the season, but the biggest disappointment for me was the Winterfell plot. For me, that was the most monumentous occasion in the whole of the second book, and it didn't even get a scene showing it happen. The way it is burned isn't even logically coherent in the show. And the fates of Rodrick Cassel and Maester Luwin, while ultimately the same, were met under drastically different circumstances. The Winterfell Arc is so different because they didn't want to introduce some of the characters already in S2 ( and hire actors for them to only play small parts in just a few episodes ) .
