I don't get why so many people thought that Sansa was going to go with the Hound. He asks her, she says no, then he leaves and she's still standing in the room. What part of that makes it look like she agreed to go with him?

wow that last scene, what a cliffhanger =D

The house of the undying scene was hit and miss for me. The scenes with the desolated Red Keep and Khal Drogo hit the mark perfectly, but the ending was unsatisfying.
I didn't like the Fist of the First Men scene either. I had something completely different in mind for that scene.
Qhorin Halfhand's scene was handled poorly. Very confusing if you have not read the books. What did he even say right before he died?
The rest of the episode was pretty good, I especially liked Brienne's and Theon's scene, "WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE!!!!! *flmmmp*".

I don't get it, who burnt winterfell, and why ? The ironborn crew accepted the offer and surrendered to Robb's bannerman's bastard son's men, right ? (err)
|
Qhorin Halfhands said "We are the watchers on the wall.".
As for what the number of the horn blasts are, its in episode 5 around the 28min mark where they explain it.
One blast is for rangers returning Two blasts is for Wildlings
Then John Snows friend (forgot his name) sais "And three for White Walkers" and he also said "its been 1,000 years since they blown the horn 3 times".
|
Wait, next season is next year?
|
I don't think Qhorin's scene was confusing... he told Jon in one of the prior episodes that he wanted the wildlings to trust Jon and that they would if he did "what needs to be done". And it seems like the wildlings will indeed trust Jon after he killed Qhorin, at least they untied him and will bring him to Mance (was that his name?). Qhorin probably knew that he would be killed anyway, so he wanted to make his death count.

More weird stuff about Theon's whole Winterfell saga!
I get the feeling that Bolton's son and his men did it, really. The Iron Islanders obviously took up the offer of giving up Theon, and it would be batshit retarded to burn down Witerfell in this scenario. Perhaps Bolton jr. doesn't like the Starks. Also seems extraordinarily weird though, since all through the season we hear nothing other than how popular and loved Robb is in the north.

Some things I've noticed about the episode:
Tywin entering the throne room with his horse might signify that he will not stand and below the king. He knows he's superior to the king, in wisdom, power, wealth. He knows that Joffrey is just a puppet king. The horse-riding was meant less for grand entrance, but rather his un-willingness to kneel before his grandson king.
Tyrion screaming for the servant boy when he sees Grandmaster Pycell was a smart reaction. He said "Tell them I'm with Grandmaster Pycell, and I'm very much alive" means that if Pycell intended to murder him, now he can't because he's told them that he's alive and will be alive unless Pycell did anything to him.
I think it was stupid for Sansa to tell Littlefinger that she does not want his help going home. She probably wants to stay in King's landing to bring the downfall of Joffrey in some way, but Littlefinger probably knew that so thats why he warned her that her treachery level isn't as high as hers and she can't do much here. It'll be interesting to see what she will do.
And God, I was really hoping Arya went to Jacquen and become a badass female assassin. Too bad she didn't take up his offer =(

I read it like Sansa really wants to go home, but doesn't trust Littlefinger one bit. What's to say (from her perspective) that he doesn't report everything she says to Cersei.

I think the Qhorin scene was very well done, I have not read the books (yet), but for me it was pretty obvious that he was going to sacrifice himself in order to "sell" Jon to the wildlings. The fight was beautiful too, you can see that Qhorin's words affected Jon so he would not hesitate to kill him.

Decent season finale but nothing spectacular.
Poor Tyrion .... everyone from his family hates him . I just cant wait how he will take his revenge on them even though he doesnt look like he is evil like the rest of his nut family .
Looks like Sansa doesnt have to marry Joffrey . I wish she would leave with the Hound but she stayed behind.... what a stupid girl ! Am I the only one geting some nasty vibes from Littlefinger towards Sansa ? He couldnt make Catelyn love him so he might take Sansa by force to take revenge on her mother.
Stannis was super pissed and for good reason. In the end what did he see in the flames ? I wish they showed it to us.
Brienne is badass and l loved the interaction betwen Jamie and her. Love is on the horizon ?
Omg that scene with Theon was fucking hilarious. I still dont get what happened with Winterfell. I thought his men took him to trade Theon for their lives. Doesnt make sense why Winterfell was burning in the end ... so confusing.
What the hell is Jaqen ? I thought he was just a high skilled assasin but I guess he is something more than that. Anyway I guess he will be Arya master in the future seasons.
Dany scenes were ok. Just not that interesting to me because she is so far away and doesnt have any interaction with the rest of the characters.
Still dont get why Jon and the old man had to fight to the death ? Jon will meet the king in the next season.
The ending was great. So those are the White walkers ? Dunno but i thought of them as snow zombies with no intelegence but they looked somewhat intelegent. The white horseman was their leader or smth ? He had unique crystal spear and white smoke was coming from the weapon and the white walker.
So this is the end and now I have to wait for almost a year for the new season. Its gonna be a looong year.... But I saw someone posting that the 3rd season gonna start in the fall. Is this true or just speculation ?

As far as I can tell, both of them understand that they are Liars. Sansa doesn't trust anyone, and she has no reason to after the injustice to her house.

From how I understand it, The "Zombies" are the Wights, and the crazy white horseman guy is one of the "Others" or "White Walkers." correct me if I'm wrong.

The white walkers are the ones on horses, and the zombies are the wights they control.
