There are cast news, and it seems that the side plots that were left out are gonna come into season 6, so if you don't wanna be spoiled stay away.
I just don't understand why they were left out... I think that DnD killed so many characters now so they don't have to spend so many money on actors, there are some new ones to come, and the Hardhorne battle and big dragons must be crazy expensive.
They probably also wanted to limit the amount of simultaneous story lines that they were showing. With the deaths at the end of season 5 a lot of plot lines are closing, to be replaced by those that have been skipped.

Upon reading on those casting calls. Yep, other story lines that were abondoned and already happened in books will be part of next season. People should still stay away from book spoilers, although things will probably be quite different than in books.
I have a more general question for the 'other side' (book readers): Were there any new non-book story arks that you guys genuinely liked? From what I gathered, some nuances and characterizations are seen as positives, but what about the scenes that were all new? How confident are you in the show writers once they have run out of book material and have to come up with the story themselves?
Hardhorn was cool. There wasn't really a arc/plot line that i enjoyed more, but I did enjoy some scenes more. Hardhorne and Arya + Tywin banter come to mind.
Most people actually like Rob's Show Wife (it's not the same person and situation in the books), i would prefer if it was like in the books, the shows makes it a bit more cliche.
Dorne proved to me that DnD can't really brings us good plots.
did they ever say if the dorthraki have more than one tribe? like are they just a huge moving group of people which kal drogo was once king of or was drogo a king of one of the tribes like this the one we see danny with the old dorthraki that were with her? if not where are they and do the dorthraki fight each other??? also the witch lady who killed drogo said something about him waking up after the sun like goes in the opposite direction at first i thought about it meaning "never" cause that cant happen but what if it actually does through some kind of magic does he wake up? did they bury him i forgot what happened to his body

They burned his body at the end of season 1, the same giant bonfire Dany walked into with her dragon eggs. It's why she walked into in the first place, to be with her husband.
To be honest, I wish people should stop being to investigative regarding that matter. it would kill the excitement. Though I think it can't be helped haha
Also does it snow hard in Belfast? or just snowmachine or something they using for the North scenes

We havnt seen anything about that area at all in years. At one point they were rampaging and then they just stopped so maybe it did work or maybe that particular leach was so strong it killed everyone from the iron islands.

actually, in the beginning of season 4, it is clearly explained that the iron born still occupy the north and that the boltons first have to take it back from them; which they have accomplished by the end of season 4. it is also shown that theons sister tries to save her brother, but fails because he doesnt dare to leave his master ramsay. she concludes that her brother has died as a person(ality) and now is only a hollow shell, called reek. She leaves on a boat, presumably to head back to the iron islands. the ironborn that were captured by the boltons were all flayed alive. so the "iron born invade the north"-arc is finished since season 4. not very surprising that it wasnt covered anymore in season 5.
it should also be noted that the series cannot cover every plotline that might or might not be included in the books. so someone who hasnt read the books and only watched the series can only speculate if GRRM has something planned for the ironborn story arc or not.
Honestly, I don't think Stannis is dead, his execution is still uncertain, all deaths of major plot characters were clear (Ned, Catelyn, Robb, Joffrey etc etc) and what do we see here? Brienne simply swings and that's all. Although Myrcella might be dead, but she's not the main character.
P.S. Stannis is like #1-2 of the unluckiest characters alongside with Brienne (LOL), so they must survive for some time.

actually, I am fairly certain that D&D have intentionally shot both the deaths scenes of stannis and of jon in a way that leaves room for them to be still alive or come back to life. the reasons are twofold: a) this way, they can adapt to whatever route GRRM goes with those characters in the books. I am sure they have talked with him about stuff like that. if GRRM himself already knows if jon survives or not, he surely has told them. b) all major deaths so far have occurred in episodes between 2-9, never in episode 10. this is the first time that the lingering question whether a certain character is really dead has been used as a cliffhanger at the end of a season. in this case, the risk is just too high if the actor himself knows about his character being back to life in the upcoming season. so its certainly the best to leave them in the dark about. for this reason alone, it would already make sense not to shoot a more explicit stannis death scene.
