That being said, I really want to finish The Divine Comedy sometime soon. Made it halfway through 2 years ago and just stopped reading it for no reason, even though I enjoyed it a lot. Adding a picture to follow the format: I found that halfway through the book, it started padding itself unnecessarily and became absurdly dry

I am on the third book in the Twilight series and I can honestly say that this is the best series I have ever read in my entire life. I am so excited to read the Hunger Games and 50 Shades of Gray!~ Haha you must be a girl... all the books i would never touch. Okay hunger games maybe but i have a really hard time reading books after watching the movie or the series. im reading the game of thrones books and i think i would enjoy it much more if i wouldnt know most of it already.. I almost have to force me to read so i can reach new content someday :D

The politics and names can be hard to deal with at times, but get a version with good notes, it should help. I wouldn't say it is "padding itself." This is a classic for good reason. it is a long read, but entirely worth it.

-Wuthering Heights (Emily Brontë) Really liked it, strong, crazy, powerful, fantasmatic. -Demons (Dostoïevski) Absolutely brilliant. Both a brilliant and funny satire on russian nihilist in the 1850s (seriously, that Tourgueniev caricature is really hilarious at times) and a dark, moving novel on the temptation of suicide and the silence of God. Nicolas Stavroguine is one of the most impressive character in a novel I've read along with Mme de Merteuil in Les Liaisons dangereuses. Currently reading : Eugénie Grandet (Honoré de Balzac) I'm at page 20, only descriptions so far, but there is already more life in this novel than in most thing I've read so far. Not reading Balzac during all those years seems to have been a mistake !

A Song of Ice and Fire, book 1 and 2. Ivanhoe. Currently reading: The Idiot. Planning to read next: Book 3 and 4 of A Song of Ice and Fire, as soon as they arrive by mail. The Game of Thrones books are great. Been waiting for two months for the third and fourth book to arrive (sidenote: Ecuadorian mailsystem sucks), and just keeping myself busy with other books while I wait. Ivanhoe wasn't good. Pretentious language, awfully slow moving and uninteresting characters. The Idiot is 'alright', but as soon as the books arrive I will give it up - possibly finishing some time later.

and a few mediocre crime novels. Nothing too deep, just to distract me a bit.

The Idiot is an incredible book Mychkine/Natassya/Aglaïa is an incredibly complicated love triangle, Rogozhin is a fascinating character and Dotoïevski is such a powerful writer...
