A few days late, but this so much. Loved it.
Yup, sick scene :D ''You ever so much as tell me the incorrect time I'll kill you. I will rip your smug face off your fat neck and I'll kill you.'' That scene was awesome in its entirety, but that phrase was Lewis at his best I think
Yeah, the scenes with Louis in this episode (elevator, him shaking as he was reading the transcript of how he was being framed for harassment, even the revenge line with Donna) were all really, really good. The only other Louis scene I can think of that's been as emotional and strong was when Louis countered Harvey's anger with his own flipping out after the fake trial in preparation for Travis Tanner (when Donna walked out on the "Do you love Harvey Specter" line). Instant tears from me.
Here it is, for those who want to re-live that moment:
That's actually my favourite scene right there. So much emotion. Rick Hoffman is fucking brilliant.
It's mine as well I feel like every time Louis comes on for a scene, I know I'm in for something special. I feel like the ratio of his memorable scenes to all of his scenes is higher than any other character (at least, for me). I like a lot of the characters, but when Louis shows up on screen, I know I'm about to watch something hilarious or amazing, rather than filler content. He elicits that emotion and connection.
I was hoping the writers had a tragic ending in their back pocket and when they thought there might not be a season 3 the show could go out in a blaze glory.
How awesome would it be for the start of episode one to be Hardman pulling some devious trick. Let's say Louis' Harvard associate that he was forced to fire tells some "lies" about Mike Ross and the firm and Louis actually follows through on his threat? Donna innocently provides Louis with something and is arrested in the fallout as an accessory.
Louis is arrested and the shaky firm is blown apart by the scandal, meanwhile Hardman's last words foreshadowed that the Harvard associate spilled the beans on Mike Ross and the reckoning is coming.
Zane comes after Pearson and Harvey and we see partners coming in to resign, jumping ship as the firm crumbles around them. Mike is arrested for practicing law without a license and Rachel tells him off forever. Harvey is torn between defending Donna from the accessory charge and protecting himself from the lies he's told to protect Mike.
As the final episode comes to a close we see workers taking down the "Pearson" sign at the office, Louis' sentence is read and he breaks down realizing what a waste it all was, Mike is shown in a cell looking oddly like his apartment with his old scumbag roomate to keep him company and comment on how it all finally caught up with him. Jessica is shown being lead away in cuffs as Harvey walks out of the courthouse looking dazed as for the first time in his life he couldn't fix everything. The obvious unanswered questions of what happened to Donna and how Harvery is free to go are left floating as we consider the house of cards can really come falling down on anyone.

Only if it coincides with this being the last season of Castle and I get my Firefly continuation. Yeah, enough fantasy land for me.
Wow Louis just literally did nicest thing anyone has done during this entire series when he was talking with Rachael. I was shocked he choose to do that.
Yeah I think Louis is trying to help Rachel by lying to her. I guess the idea is that she won't think that she didn't get in because of Harvard's exclusiveness and her lack of skills. Instead, she'll think she didn't get in because of Louis banging the recruiter/interviewer who then sandbagged her. I don't entirely agree with Louis' rationale here, not to mention that if it comes out it could hurt Louis, but I think he's trying to keep up her confidence and doesn't want to break the 'promise' earlier that he would fix the situation and get her into Harvard.
I actually find it a bit hard to believe that Rachel wouldn't get in given the fact that her father went there, she is mixed race, etc. Then again this is a fictional television show.

Given what she did her lineage (both how successful her father is and that he is an alumni), what she currently does for a living, her mixed race and her academic credentials she basically would be welcomed on a red carpet were this not a TV show and they didnt need to find a way to keep her at the lawfirm for writing purposes.
I was a little worried when I saw the first episode come back and it was garbage with Mike being a pussy. Glad to see it's still absolutely awesome minus that episode.
RACHEL WHY DO THIS TO ME, DON'T GO THE SURE THING THINGY AND THEN BREATHE IN THE EAR JUST WHY RACHEL WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! That just made me spasm on me seat and literally break a sweat.
In addition, I'd be totally and utterly incapable of doing my job if the women at my firm looked like they do in this series. Wish they dressed like that though, clothing standards for women where I work are really sub par in my opinion.
Edit: Conleth Hill really gets me enthusiastic about his appearance. Absolutely love his performance this episode.
