I would like more of Mai's throwing knives (like Maes Hughes from FMA), but what I've seen from Amon's lieutenant (electric powered kali sticks), I'm fine with it. Oh and a little interesting tidbit I found on some other sites regarding Amon's namesake: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Yeah I know the Equalists are chi blockers like Ty Lee, but the characters themselves brought so much life into the story. Especially with Azula's background. I know its just the first 4 episodes but having those 2 with the evil person in the story (Azula) was so satisfying and made great foils. Maybe I am just a sucker of cute girls who just kick ass and find their own meaning and way instead of take orders! Currently Amon doesn't have those "sidekick" people that create commentary and background they way Mai and Ty Lee did to Azula (with the flashbacks on how they grew up and the side stories of Mai and Zuko, etc). Really really really hope more dynamic characters such as these come into play. And reading a few posts back, I also agree on how an Iroh character is dearly missed <3. Its hard to recreate such a beautiful character.

I think i'll be something with sound (soundbending??) but it's hard to theorize because air is almost so straightforward... This is a really cool idea.

Well Amon could easily be lying. I mean, if Korra cornered him in a fight in the next couple of episodes he could easily take her bending out of desperation. And as far as re-learning it goes, if it's a sort of permanent chi-block then she'd have to relearn how to use her chi. Sorta like Aang had to do to unlock the avatar state except much more involved. I mean, if they have an "Air" book then they're going to have "Fire," "Water," and "Earth" books as well. With TLAB Aang mastered each bending in the respective book and it appears that that pattern is continuing with LOK.

Episode 4 just made me love it more, it gives you a hint to what Amon's final plan is, and shows a weaker side of Korra. It also shows that Korra is maturing too because she's realizing that Amon isn't someone you can just go up to and say "oh im just gonna kick his ass" like the other people shes fought. For those who thought that Amon letting Korra go was kind of James Bond villain-ish, if you listen to his explanation of it, he actually has a pretty good point. He wants to take over republic city with his revolution first, then move on to the world. If he takes away her bending too soon, people won't acknowledge the revolution and see Amon as the bad guy who destroyed the symbol of peace (the avatar). I'm guessing when he figures he has enough followers, then he will publicly challenge her to show everyone what nonbenders can do, spreading his revolution across the world.

One thing I noticed though, how do people know Amon can really take away bending permanently? When he put on his big show he took away a few peoples' bending, but it only showed the immediate effects. Any of his henchmen can take away bending for a little while as they showed earlier in the episode. I mean I'm not saying I think he can't take away their bending, but if I was in attendence at the "Revelation", I wouldn't be so easily convinced

What if he can only take the physical side of bending. Then one day he takes korra bending away and shes only force to use the spiritual side of bending. it would kinda suck her relearning all her bending though. anyways i hope its as epic as the last airbender since it went on to 4 seasons. Wohoho. So true. Now that I think of it, in episode 1 here mentors told here that she has yet to master the spiritual side of any of the elements, though she excelled in the physical.

Air will be first. There's a simple approach as to why this won't be the case. TLA was all about introducing the world and the bending itself, it was fun to experience this and learn about everything. Now in TLK if this would be the same again people would be pretty bored, also they kinda designed the whole beginning of the series that bending is a pretty normal thing and people that watch it already know it. So sealing her bending skills and letting her "re-learn" it would be a big step backwards. The producers of the series are very smart people, I enjoyed the hell out of TLA. Letting Korra relearn everything would have such a big "bad influence" on the show that they won't do it. Thats why I already enjoy this show so much, everything is already established and even if you watched TLA you are excited about the story because it is on a new level.
