In essence, they believe in peace through removal, korra believes in peace through powers, opposites this is part of what makes the avatar series so good it's fun as a cartoon should be but it's still mature and has enough depth to make things so that they aren't always black and white

+ Show Spoiler + the preview of the next episode? From what I saw it seems to be a possibility that Korra gets her powers taken away. (She challenges Amon to a duel and loses, It shows her prostrate and defeated, with amon above her about to preform the technique that takes her powers away by touching her forhead) Assuming this series is going to be as long as the original avatar, it could make sense. She's already pretty uber atm, she has 3 elements down and 1 more is on the way....doesn't seem to leave much room in character development. Could imagine a plot twist where she loses her powers and spends the series relearning them. Idk how that could work but it would be neat! @obesechicken13 This would would kinda resolve what you were getting at too...maybe theres a lot more than meets the eye?

The ability to bend has been stated to be based in spirituality, so I suppose it's possible that a bereavement of faith or a rediscovery of faith could end up being a plot point.

We will deal with him/her later" - plots that happen in every single anime, and then at the end it's like: "I should have killed you when I had the chance!" Ahh, but you didn't dumbass. Same goes for scenes where it's like: "I should kill you immediately in order to end any possibility of someone intervening, but I'll give a sililoque instead until I'm interrupted just before I'm about to kill you and then you end up stabbing me." At least the one thing they did right was that the brothers who aren't experience in fighting didn't just win everything one-sided, on top of that they lost a 2v1 and it was pretty easy. The fight scenes had less "IM NOT DONE YET DESPITE BEING HIT BY THOUSANDS OF ATTACKS", when they got shocked they went DOWN like they could because some kids in a bending tournament aren't trained for this kinda stuff and thats how it should be.

So it makes no sense for you to come into this thread and complain about something that occurs naturally. If you're looking for plot twists I don't believe this show will have any. There was in the original TLA, for example when Azula's two sidekicks betray her when she's chasing Zuko.

I'm guessed it's one of Aangs sons but his backstory in episode 3 wouldn't match with it. I think he also a bender

Lol ok...so what would your suggestion have been? Have a bunch of dudes chase her on foot while shes on a mount? Though I do think it would have been more beneficial to capture her. He had a point in that those 3 could spread the word about his revolution quickl but she might have only told the authorities. And like we saw, she only told Tenzin who would probably be smart enough to not let that news spread public. On April 23 2012 12:04 Jell wrote: So, we all know who the masked guy is right? I mean it's pretty obvious... No its not. Tell us, back it up with your evidence, and prepare to be humiliated if you dont make sense after saying "its obvious...." All I know is that he uses the same style of fighting as Ty Lee did, but that wasn't unique to her, she was just the only one they showed using it in the first series. From the Avatar wiki "While at the San Diego Comic-Con 2011, Bryan Konietzko stated that chi blocking was not an art unique to Ty Lee, rather that it was ancient and "cloaked in secrets"." His story has 1 similarity to Zuko in that his face was scarred by fire. Theres no other indications of his identity.

lol wut... I'm guessing he's talking about Aang's other son, the non bender. Since it's so clearily said that Aang was the only one who had the ability to do spirit bending or whatever it's called, they are clearily hinting that it could be someone related to him. Which I hope it isn't, becuase that would be predictable and retarded.

It's like Goofey but instead of being funny he just comes across as a pain.
