I don't consider myself a nerd, no, far from it. Not because I am too "cool" to be one, but rather, because I am not nearly smart enough to be labeled a nerd. However, I find the show The Big Bang Theory, which is basically about a group of 4 nerds living a young-adult life, simply hilarious. Every one of their jokes has some kind of crazy theory or idea in it, and if you actually pay attention you can learn quite a lot of history, literature, physics, chemistry, philosophy, technology, as well as a ton of comic/anime, entertainment and gaming stuff. I've only watched the first season and part of the second season so far, but I'm loving every minute of it.

Lol, sorry. It's a show around 2-years old, about a group of nerds living in California. I thought it would be interesting to see whether other gamers really like this show or not, or if it's just me

I follow the series, too.
Of course sheldon is the carry of the show, comparable with Barney and himym. But the risk is, that the show is too carry-heavy which is often the case on TBBT I think.
For me Raj is the funniest, he has some killer lines and when he drinks and talks to women its outrageous for the most time. :D

Love the whole concept of it. The season finale was fantastic, can't wait to see what Sheldon does in the next one. Love that they have professional Physicists on board, and the personalities are so unique and ever episode has something cracking me up.
Who would have thought a show about astrophysicists would be so popular! :D

Followed this since season 1, it's part of my "dl as soon as they come out" shows along with how I met your mother and house (scrubs and lost used to e on it as well, for obvious reasons not anymore). Really funny and entertaining  .

Sheldon is my fave character and I'm actually starting to get irritated on Leonerds facial expression, like how his face is always in some weird contortion..

I loved BBT! All the nerd references, and Sheldon's constant OCD. I watched the earlier seasons on my computer, so I got to skip through a lot. Now that i'm actually watching it on tv, it gets kinda slow and repetitive. Much of the jokes are overused.
It definitely lost the spark it once had. They're trying to move the storyline a bit, with Penny+Leonard romance. However it feels like every episode they do something with it, the episode ends before any conclusion could have been drawn. Oh well, still a great show

Considering the comic potential of a group of nerds, I think the show is disappointing. I quite like the actors, but the script is just terrible. The jokes are predictable, the comic timing weak, and its just really unconvincing. Against all odds, a show about nerds seems...unintelligent.
The problem is that there isn't really an alternative I can suggest. About the closest is Spaced, which is still very different.

I have to love sheldon, his real life name is far too similar to my own, its like knowing I have a successful double out in the world. Besides, sooner or later everyone in the world will be saying bazinga after a joke.

the jokes get kind of bad in season 3, there not geeky like the first series. probably to reach an wider audience.
