This makes me laugh too, but I'm also quite sad about the whole thing.

All I see is a bunch of unknown "extremists" stroking their epeen over South Park episode, seriously. Might be because I live in a country where islam is pretty much nonexistent, but pulling an episode over this ?
Now I don't know whether to watch the censored version or try and wait for the uncensored one, if it ever gets out.

people need to stop being pussy's and worrying about offending a bunch of ignorant muslims. If you cave into their demands because of fear (which is retarded, I could understand if you lived in the middle east or something but not in the US) they already won.
Religion is so lame

As a Muslim, I would have to say I felt insulted by the depiction of Mohammed in South Park. However it would be hypocritical of me to complain or argue against the show seeing how they make jokes about everything else. I didn't complain about the depiction of other religions and I won't complain about Mohammed.
Do I feel better about censorship? Not really. I don't really think it makes a difference except that it's not fair to all the other religions and groups that South Park has made fun of. If they are going to depict Mohammed, that's fine. I may not like it but it's all fair I guess. I still like the show. Just because of a couple of episodes offend me, I won't stop watching the show.
I heard that the reason Chef was killed off earlier in the series is that Isaac Hayes (voice actor) left due to disagreements with the episode "Trapped in the Closet" since he was a Scientologist and found it offensive. I complained then about his hypocrisy seeing how he was fine with everything else South Park did. I won't change my view now that my own religion is being ridiculed. I will still continue watching South Park. If I find an episode too offensive to watch, I'll simply skip it and wait for the next one.
As for the extremist Muslims complaining about the show, I understand they have a reason to be angry, however death threats go completely against what we as Muslims believe in. Despite what many believe and what the media displays, Islam is a peaceful religion and extremists are called extremists for a reason and shouldn't be used as a generalization for the whole religion. They are just the retards that either use religion as an excuse to fight or retards that are brainwashed into thinking that what they call a religion of peace is telling them to fight.
As I read somewhere (I forgot where): The depiction of Mohammed in South Park is purely for comedy reasons and not a method of directly attacking Islam unlike earlier Danish depictions of the Prophet in comics in which the artist's purpose is to deliberately offend Muslims.
I would say it is fine for South Park to depict Mohammed. It is a part of their right to freedom of speech and expression. Although I don't support the slandering of my religion, I support the show's right to their freedom. I laugh at the other jokes. Why should I stop them from making jokes about what I care about? That just makes me a hypocrite which is something I am completely against.

damn, I need to catch up on South Park again :o
Seems like I missed two pretty good episodes

o3 has a good attitude about this. That's what Trey and Matt intend with their episodes - they don't single out just one group.
|
Everyone should be like o3 tbh

+ Show Spoiler +I'm a solid Christian, but I still laugh at all the Jesus jokes. Guys - it's a Libertarian TV show that was meant to make fun of everyone. Muslim extremists (or maybe it is truly the gingers), there's a reason you're the minority. I have a friend, Paki, born and raised, and he sat right there in front of my computer and laughed at all the Mohammed jokes. Please grow a sense of humor and do the same. backing up o3.

don't know about you guys in America but Paki is a really insulting word over here. Then again, apparently oriental is a rude word in America so meh maybe it just goes differently. On topic however, I agree with o3.

"Oriental" is not a rude word in America

o3 there is a problem in attempting to marginalise "extremists" and saying they are not what the Muslim religion is about and that violence is against the peaceful religion of Islam, the fact is (and I am delving into personal opinion here) the Islamic religion is very clearly a violent religion, or at least many interpretations of it are. Your understanding of the Muslim religion may be a peaceful one but there are a huge number of Muslims who hold to different views on that and you can't dismiss them as a minority or "extremists" well you can the latter but they are certainly not a small minority.

the same can be said about the christian churches during the medieval ages no? the christian religion itself promotes peace and morality, but as we all know the faith of its loyal followers has been bent to serve those who manipulate the masses... i'm not very knowledgable about the muslim religion, but as far as i can tell, the muslim religion itself promotes peace and morality, but like in the past, its teachings and faith has been bent to serve the interests of the manipulators...

I think oriental is a 'politically incorrect' word in the US nowadays.

TBH Oriental sounds more politically correct than Asian.

Right, and Christianity isn't violent?
Who is the one invading a country because of "weapons of mass destruction?"
You consider Muslims violent when you invade their whole region for oil, kill their people, and expect them not to be violent? Let me guess, these people would be called insurgents when their fighting for their country, eh?
Also, those Muslims are retarded and thank god I don't know any Muslim that's like that.
P.S what is that song in the beginning of the latest South Park? I've heard it everywhere but I don't know it
Edit: Okay, found out, its: Zombies - Time of the seasons

all religions are dumb. Is it ok for Islam to have violence just because Christianity has it? =) People who get offended suck.
