I'm pretty much an atheist, so I really don't care much but I just hate it when Christians think Islam is the violent religion when the Muslim people are just protecting their land.

Can someone in the states check? Being uncensored basically means the cuss words are not bleeped out. You have 0 friends is uncensored with 0 bleeps. We want episode 201. Which Comedy Central being too scared of mentioning the name of a certain prophet they had to bleep out, then refuse to air again.

Posted on: 04.22.10 A Statement from Matt and Trey In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Your understanding of the Muslim religion may be a peaceful one but there are a huge number of Muslims who hold to different views on that and you can't dismiss them as a minority or "extremists" well you can the latter but they are certainly not a small minority. I understand what you are saying and I will try not to use as my argument: "So what if people of my religion are like this? Look at this religion's people." (No offense to anyone who said something along these lines. I understand exactly what you're saying and I agree with you, but as much as possible, I try not to use that as my argument when discussing this) I would say violence is a natural part of human nature (that doesn't make it excusable btw). I feel lots of these extremists are using Islam as an excuse to fight. You can see lots of fighting going on in the Middle East right now between Muslims and other people (don't want to single out any group other than the Muslims here ![]() To your comment about many different violent interpretations of Islam: I agree. There are lots of interpretations I disagree with. However, who am I to say who is right and who is wrong? To each his own right? One thing I do know is, Islam, like most religions (Christianity and Judaism included) teaches peace. It is just some people who think that in order for peace to be attained, they have to "eliminate the enemies." Now you have to agree there is some inconsistency there. The media only makes it worse by displaying these violent people making them look like the majority. Why? Because that's what attracts viewers. Showing peaceful Muslims praying, helping the poor, enjoying a good time; those are boring. "No one" wants to see that. If that is broadcast though, I'm guessing it's sometime between 3 -6am. The prime times are filled with violence. That's what people are attracted to. Like my dad always tells me: "There is nothing wrong with the religion; just with the people that practice it." One quote by peaceful Muslims I see used a lot is: "That is not my Islam." btw, I don't want to derail this thread too much so I'll try not to post anymore long comments like this XD PS. Thanks to all those who supported me. I love TL <3

And before people bring up other points such as "well look at the extreme violence, dominance and oppression of christianity earlier in history" or other such examples, my point is not that the Islamic religion is more at fault in this regard in any way. Although like i say currently I believe it to foster violence more so then most other religions.

This is by no means unique to the Islamic religion just from my own perception the extremism and violence in a large number of Muslim cultures today is far greater than that of other religions. And before people bring up other points such as "well look at the extreme violence, dominance and oppression of christianity earlier in history" or other such examples, my point is not that the Islamic religion is more at fault in this regard in any way. I don't believe it is the religion causing the violence but rather the people practicing the religion. Like you said in the part I underlined, extremism and violence is larger in Muslim cultures. That is because it is the people's doing that causes the violence. When you think about it, the reason people are fighting is for political purposes and for the land. It just so happens a large portion of these people are Muslims. Sure lots of people get violent and aggressive unnecessarily in the name of Islam as well but I believe those are the bad seeds that spoil the name of an entire religion.

Probably more efficient than screwing around with wiretaps. Also has 4chan destroyed that muslim group yet? I don't follow 4chan at all but I've heard about them ruining lives for a lot less than this. http://partyvan.info/wiki/Operation_Islamichan O__O

Hate to continue this stupid pointless argument, but I don't think that threatening TV writer's lives equals "protecting their land." I also think it's dumb for the network to censor their shows. If someone is going to be bold enough to talk about how ridiculous it is that it's not OK to criticize Islam (as well as all the other religions), why would the network have the audacity to censor them. I hope they at least put it online uncensored eventually.
