I disagree, I think South Park brings real, non-make-believe joy to more people than religion does. And you don't even have to lie to yourself to enjoy it. I still think it's ridiculous that nobody can view an uncensored version of the episode yet. I mean, it wasn't the greatest episode but I have a feeling kyle's final speech was probably really good. Way better than a bunch of bleeps. As far as this thread goes, if you don't have anything other than a religious debate to bring to the table people start posting like trolls (take the above post for example). I don't care how good the intentions of these posts are: they lead nowhere. Here's a good way to figure out people's opinions on the matter: Poll: Should they air ep. 201 completely uncensored? Yes (62) No (2) Maybe (0) 64 total votes Your vote: Should they air ep. 201 completely uncensored?

Posted on: 04.22.10 A Statement from Matt and Trey In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it. Seems like Kyle's speech was similar to what we heard in the Cartoon Wars episodes.

I mean, is it really worth it to get into this shit w/ muslim extremists for those awful fucking jokes? Come on now.. You're missing the point entirely. Is it worth DEATH threats and such, over some bad jokes ?

Meh, I was hoping for something more. You know, like posting the personal addresses of those involved. They posted the address of a home owned by Stone/Parker, so I see nothing wrong with doing the same if they think that is okay behavior.

But, he added, "Here's what's more upsetting. Someone, in the name of a faith that I believe in, threatening another person for doing it." I couldn't have put it better myself.

Obviously it's bad to attack random sites just because they are muslim. As for the extremist sites, attacking them may not be the greatest idea either. The reason that governemnts often don't shut them down is that they can spy on them easily and see what the groups are up to. It sounds good in principle, but I'm not sure an avalanche of pictures of muhammed and penises accomplishes on non-extremist islamic sites. If these are the same idiots who spammed anti-islamic hate after September 11th, it's just going to annoy more rational people. I'm trying to think of possible outcomes. Angry extremists gets themselves arrested: success Angry extremists use it to recruit: lose extremists and non-extremists stop caring: success (but sounds unlikely) extremists wait a few months for operation people to stop caring: lose ruin angry extremists lives: success
