You have to wonder: what exactly happened? The competent organizers such as the ones behind WPC and G-1 League appear to have all pulled out of Chinese Dota - and from the looks of it, League of Legends too because I don't remember seeing them there. The whole scene has been replaced by "production" companies that do a poor job of actually running tournaments, except for MarsTV which actually tries, but they're basically alone. And around the same time we saw Chinese teams all go to shit, not only limited to Dota 2 but to League of Legends, as well. I've come to believe, now, that this is not just a random combination of poor events and performances. Chinese eSports has actually gone to shit across the board in the last two years and, though I don't yet know the explanation, I have a feeling it has to do with the organizations behind the scene, and especially the rich kids who bought out all the teams and companies. Not sure yet what the exact cause is, but I think I'm starting to understand. | ||
