Well, to be honest, all they think when they watch is: "We wish we had the money to do this".

And all i'm thinking is why doesn't other games/companies sell their stuff like Valve, so they could afford at least a bit of this. Compendium for example.

They sell HD passes or pay per view and people hate them for it ;x

Sell anything and have people hate it. Dota 2 gets away with what other people wish they could.

No Valve sells quality. Thats the difference.

And all those steam games made by other people. Its a real boost to the budget.

Oh now we are comparing things that dont have to do anything with the current subject? I am sure thaat activisions money and wow money would be enough to pay for 5 internationals for starcraft a year.

They're really gonna give Bulldog his Furion after that display last game?

Draft was not what lost DK that game, 2009 was saying that if it was 2 nameless teams and not Alliance vs. DK, DK's draft would be 70/30 against Alliance's draft.

Alliance recognized what was important that game and executed well. They made good trades when DK had the advantage, and capitalized on DK's mistakes. The gem loss near Rosh where s4 lasso-ed ROTK from under 4 DK players' noses was absolutely game changing.

i think it was few things. the xp advantage was important honestly, i don't know why LD and Lumi were saying it didn't matter when the reality was that the supports of Alliance were near level 20 and DK were like at level 12 and i didn't feel super contributed at all in terms of damage.

linkin might not have been a bad choice but i don't think going both bkb and linkin was smart when you sacrifice any going items that can give damage.

Again, that was entirely a product of the lost gem at the Rosh pit. When you lose all your wards on the map, your supports can't do anything but wait behind the carries because you simply cannot farm enough to be worth the risk of a solo kill on you turning into a free tower or Roshan. The gold/XP graphs were reasonably close until DK lost their gem, at which point Alliance's advantage skyrocketed because Batrider + Furion + took enemy's gem locks down the entire map.

DK basically lost that gem for free too because I don't think they'd done anything to Alliance's vision when they lost it.

I think the big mistake that cost them the game was that fight at the ancients. That was the thing that allowed Loda to almost catch up to Alchemist in farm, NP to close the gap and prevented Alchemist from getting that absurd gold advantage he can get while freefarming with a BF.

GG

But I still don't like premature GG calls...

I do hope you mean the casters' early "gg" when [A] teamwiped first.

DK's "gg" at the end was in no imaginable way premature.

Well, if the gg is called by casters before the players call it, it's premature. I guess. I mean it was pretty obvious who was going to win at that point, but crazy shit CAN happen in Dota, even though it rarely does.

Casters calling gg (Within reason) isn't really a bad thing though, if it was the game ending point, then it just makes the casters look good (plus helps new people understand at what point the game was finished) and if there is a comeback, then it just makes the comeback much more intense then if the casters had let on that it was still all up in the air.

IMO no. Casters calling gg too early = they have COMPLETELY ruled out the possibility of a comback.
I even had a 4v5 game once that my team won pretty convincingly

People need to not freak out about the casters calling GG alittle early. The game can be over and the caster can be proven wrong, which is just as much fun.

When it happens repetitively, it is no longer fun. I've seen enough stuff to know that you should never call GG to early.

It looked like it was over and I can't blame them. that is how hard it is to play Dota 2, is that you can never know.

IMO, DK had a small chance to turn around this left

This is a stupid discussion. Valve does a good job, no need to shit on other people who are trying to do a good job too.
