The starcraft bullshit is the extended series stuff, which people seem to confuse for standard double elimination when in fact it has nothing to do with it. The whole idea behind double elim is that you get a second chance, you need to lose twice to get knocked out of the tournament. If you reach the grand finals through the winner bracket that means you haven't lost a game yet, so you need to lose once before you can be knocked out. The team from the losers bracket has obviously already lost once. Extended series is a whole different thing. And I understand why Valve runs it this way, but saying that it is de facto more fair to run it in a way where the team that has performed the best gets one less chance than the other team is just not true.

I think that his experience would have been huge in this kind of situations. why would there be a shitstorm? i'm still a bit sore over booting loh and aa to keep xboct(i like him but i liked loh/aa way more)

I think the Chinese teams of TI2 had more refinement in their strategies. But they kept on being caught offguard by Na'Vi I think for Na'Vi to win vs Alliance they need to stop the gimmicky crap. Draft some playmakers for funnik and Dendi, and just go from there. I agree with both statements. Puppey needs to draft heroes Na'Vi plays with. They have skill to outplay Alliance. But I'm pretty sure LoH would have called off some engagement Na'Vi had in those last fights, that's why I'm saying his experience is worth gold.
