They had it in the bag and fed it away. You don't undestand Dota at higher level. NaVi's strat was all-in. If they aren't able to rax [A] in 20 minutes, it's an autolose. ???? lol the irony of what youre saying is hilarious Where is the irony? It wasn't an "all in take 20 minute rax" by any means. Hm? It was about as allin as it gets How. Luna is one of the stronger lategame carries, especially with overcharge. They had to get an early advantage, yes, but it's not like the game was inherently lost if they didnt end the game by 20 minutes BKB Alchemist eats Luna alive.

They have dropped a set yet. Yeah, we don't have that starcraft bullshit in dota, it's a single bo5. lol ''starcraft bullshit'' = the standard way to run a double elimination tournament Nah, single series is good, fair, and fun. At most a 1 game advantage would be tolerable, anything else is ridiculous for a grand finals. I dunno about fair, but single series (maybe with a game advantage) is certainly fine for dota, and definitely the most fun option. but its not "starcraft bullshit", it is literally the way most double elim tournaments are designe, all FGC tournaments for example are double elim with 2 round finals, and they get plenty hype It's about the game type really. Fighting games do better in this type of tournament setup because of their nature, each match is "more exciting" and closer etc. In Starcraft it really feels that a 1 game or series advantage is way too much to overcome. Which makes series significantly more boring 1 game advantage is ok, but something has to be done to give the winner bracket side an advantage since they haven't been eliminated once. I don't know if TI3 does that though.

How often can games honestly be lost just by letting a person have the hero they really want? Like obviously anything can happen and it's a team game but are some people just broken with certain heroes? I still don't get all the intricacies of picking and banning but it seems like the LR thread is either joyous or frustrated severely based on choices being made. Loda actually plays really well on like 5+ different carries You can't ban for Loda because he has too many choices. You also need to ban some of Bulldog's heroes, or some of S4's strongest mids. You have to ban a ton of shit to disable Alliance, they always win all drafts because of this. Team should focus on improving their execution to reach alliance's level before thinking about keeping them from doing what they do well. Yeah, I feel you shouldn't focus so much on trying to outdraft Alliance (seems almost impossible), merely to evenly draft with them -- and then you just need to execute your style and gameplan better than they execute it. DK didn't try to surprise Alliance with anything; they drafted what people expected them to draft and just played better that one game. Best part was DK beat Alliance with a simple 4 protect 1 AM strat that is completely outdated in today's metagame. All they did was outexecute Alliance, which makes their victory against Alliance even more impressive. And then they when full idiot next game and first picked specter. And then we were all sad ![]()

Too bad it doesn't really work now, considering how a lot of anti-push has been added to the game since then. I wouldn't say anti-push I'd say many buffs to a lot of heroes overall. Na'Vi desperately needed....(inb4 shitstorm) LighTofHeaveN... I think that his experience would have been huge in this kind of situations. the addition to kotl in the hero pool is significant, given he's the very definition of anti pushing. Of course, but still just wanted to point out many heroes that couldn't stop push then, can now.

Being way too greedy and forcing roshan, while alliance is sitting outside the pit ... That's plain stupid. So they lost. Fuck. They had to force Roshan, they had to be greedy, else everything falls apart, not forcing roshan was just delaying the loss You dont fight there unless you know you can win, which was clear they can not. Just pressure roshan and pressure Top at the same time with Furion. If alliance ganks Top with all, take roshan. If alliance just sends 1-2 top, wisp relocate, kill them and then do roshan. If nobody goes top, take rax ... Just use your options ... Their line up already had fallen apart, I think it was already game there, the aegis gave them a bit of chance. If they didnt go for it Alliance would take it easily. Thats just not true. How do you come to that conclusion? First, there's no way Luna can stand up against basher on Alchemist and roots, supports were squishy and underleveled and would die to radiance. It did so much damage even to Hvost. Bkb on Loda makes Tide's ravage useless against him and last fight Loda almost killed tide during his stun. Funn1k had opted to skip the midas on prophet becuase he knew it was an early type of game, Loda had gone for midas and was already ahead. Gem was up so early for Ppy
