you also get +5 armor which is quite a bit. You should also be using the dominate ability quite a bit. | ||

Answer: 'noob is noob'. on a serious note, late game lifesteal on dps heroes can be pretty insane and you can make satanic with the same slot. plus is nice that u can control some creep with helm. | ||

In the early game lifeleech is not really strong while +3 HP Regen and Armor is very decent? But I don't play many Agi-Rangeds, so I could be off (and would probably not build HoD that early for them anyway). As for HoD in general.. I doubt there is any other Item that is as easy to obtain and as powerful? | ||

Vlads for pushing broodmother, lycan, and ofc. ursa for rosh MoM for the likes of riki, sven Dominator maybe for Mortred since it gives her decent survivability. But there are better options than these. When I see a Trax, DK, sniper etc. get lifesteal first I facepalm. | ||

They do; but they don't rush the nerfs/fixes unless is really necesary (big glitch, gamebreaking issues). When a hero is new; most of its "OverPower" may come from people not knowing yet what his skills are or how to counter the hero in general. Also, take in mind that Dota is a Warcraft 3 map, and that you get kicked most of the time if trying to download it directly in-game; so rushing versions weekly is not really apreactiated (and I personaly hate that my LoL needs a freaking 100 MBs update everytime I feel like playing 2 matches). I don't know about Phoenix or Rubick (since I stopped playing Dota many months ago); but usually they don't get in -CM until they had been out for "a while". Is not only about them being OP or not; but also because you can't allow heroes that may still have some exploitable bugs/glitches to get in the "real matches"; and sometimes there is really weird shit going on when they interact with some items, heroe abilities or other things. (I personaly remember/loved Bat Rider's Sticky Naplam increasing Radiance damage) Also... Sometimes is hard to tell when an hero is "OP". Most of the "NERF PLEASE IS TOO OP" petitions are for heroes that you never see in the competitive scene, because their only (or most) strong point is owning in the 1v1 situation seen so many times in pubs; but they apport nothing to a (Real, with coordination) team fight or are really easy to put down. I felt like answering; but I'm not an expert in the theme. Sorry :-P | ||

I hear a lot about how LoL is a "joke" compared to DotA etc etc people just seem like assholes. However I am sure it is not completed unfounded. What are the major differences between LoL and DotA? I have never played WC3 or DotA, I have played RTS since Brood War and League since September. I am interested in playing DotA2 when it comes out, I am just interested in the differences between the two games. From what I can tell DotA 2 is more difficult mechanically, and has a...different visual feel. | ||
