If there was a simple command to reduce delay, I'm sure Valve would have implemented it directly so that they have a better system. It could just be that you are talking about changing your client settings, like lowering the resolution, so that you end up getting a better performance if you have a not-so-powerful system.

I'd rather just throw it out there. Stop asking.

There are commands for console that can fix your choke/loss and data rate, but it depends on your connection, distance to server etc.....basically a lot of unknowns. Can't believe so many people have never played counter strike. SO MANY console commands overlap from cs and cs:s. Things like ' exit ' or ' quit ' or ' disconnect ' or ' net_graph x '

The problem is, most of the Americans cannot understand Portuguese and the Brazilians rarely speak English. I would like to communicate with my team so I can explain to them how bad they are.

It compares some stats nobody knows about with every other person who played that character and ranks you vs them. Kills have something to do with it, because my friend got like 30 kills as pudge one game (that we still lost T_T) and it got maxed out. Apparently 2 bars is average. It means absolutely nothing, even less so because you can't see anybody's but your own. I assumed this meant that they could only be picked by that team in captains mode, but they I watched a game where Anti-mage was Dire. So just wondering what it actually means. Back in war3 dota a really long time ago, I don't remember the version, there was no AP, so people would either pick sent heros or scourge heros. The humans and nightelfs were generally sentinel and the orcs and undead were generally scourge. Now its a left over from war3, and they are kind of making lore to help it look cool. We want Brazilian servers because they're generally awful at DotA and they have a bad reputation in most games, AoS types in particular. I've had some decent BRs in my games, but 10x more bad ones.

I'm pretty sure "Intense dislike" of Brazillans or Russians is something that several people in this forums would freely admit. And yes, there are south american servers, but they are still a little weird, sometimes you get more latency on them than in US East or it takes a while to find a server. Generally it works fine though, but the queues are longer. That doesn't change the fact that wether they are bad players or not has nothing to do with which server they play on, maybe try blaming the matchmaking for always placing noobs in your team every game, like everyone always likes to do. Communication issues are one thing, shitty teammates have nothing to do with nationality, if the matchmaking works you should be playing with people around your level. You probally also have played with numerous "BRs" that played well and you had absolutelly no idea they were from Brazil, and also players you though were from Brazil but actually weren't. I personally know people that use Russian/Portuguese names and copy paste phrases just as a joke, it's nothing new. Unless you ping people every game, your statistics are messed up. And even then it would be hard to tell exactly where they are from. Honestly, it's so common to play with people that don't give a shit about what you say that being able to understand them doesn't really help you much. Pings and simple common phrases are ussually enough. Personally, I don't really blame them all that much. Trying to teach someone how to play is ussually worse than saying nothing. For him, there is no reason to believe you know better, a lot of people have really weird notions on what is good anyway and they are as eager to push their views on others as you are. If you simply followed what everyone says, you could be rushing Vlads/Basher on every melee hero. I have been in several more games ruined by people arguing about silly things than by people simply doing their own thing, nothing more than simply pinging/calling misses/etc. Almost everyone understand things like "back, go, kill X first, bot/mid/top, etc.. Unless the guy is actually new and knows his limits, telling people how to play their hero creates drama more often than it does any good.

Oh wow I thought brazilian monkeys couldn't speak english and make sense. I played a lot of LoL and a lot of HoN(in the american servers). Funny thing is those were the games in which I experienced the most BM users I've ever played with, and it happened every single game. (it was not because of my lack of english knowledge and my skill, rarely the BM was towards me.) Playing DotA 2 with my fellow latinos has been a joy, NOT in even ONE game I had to deal with BM and rage, even in the games in which I fared really bad and my team lost horribly. Waiting 10 minutes to get a game is not the most fun thing, but overall it has been paying off. TL;DR: Fuck off with the xenophobia.
