I can't remember pig-axe spinning, but if you say so.

Still Backtrack is the most bullshit OP ability in the game then. 25% damage mitigation no matter what. (actually a bit higher, then, since it is pseudo random, isn't it?)

Can be massively higher than that since he can backtrack ults like Finger and Laguna Blade.

There is a DotaCinema Video (fails, I believe) where a void backtracks, I beliee, 14 attacks in a row. Bullshot bullshit bullshit. And then he runs in low HP and dies to a Sun Strike.

It does the damage, but doesn't have an animation. In a big fight you probably wouldn't notice it among other damage sources.

Backtrack doesn't use PRD.

The only things that use PRD are hardcoded crit/bash/damage block/orbs + MoC and Counter Helix.

I don't think bashes use PRD.
(E) Wiki says most of them do but Greater Bash doesn't.

Greater Bash and Skull Basher are not hardcoded bash (as evidenced by them having cooldowns).

Actually on that note, abyssal bash retains the skull basher cooldown, it just doesn't show on the icon, right?

what's the interaction between qop's max range blink and rupture? with a max range blink can she take dmg?

on a couple occasions i blinked well past the max range (since her blink isn't penalized) and one time i took dmg the other time i did not.

what's going on with that?

Rupture checks on 0.25s intervals how far you moved. If you moved MORE THAN 1300 units, you take no damage for that 0.25s interval.

Max range Blink moves exactly 1300 units. So depending on where the timing of the 0.25s range check interval lands, you might take damage, or you might not.

so basically the reason i didn't take damage is because i was lucky (read: godly reactions)?

oh wow that's stupidly obvious in retrospect

so is the fact that those bashes don't use PRD just an artifact of them not being hardcoded bashes? Or is it intentional?

Well more likely that you happened to move perfectly straight after your Blink and didn't take a fraction of a second to turn in place (during which time, the range check would happen and deal damage for you moving 1300 units).

So yeah, you were lucky, lol.

I would expect that it is an artifact of them not being hardcoded.

Interestingly, LD's Entangle is on PRD in DotA 1, but not in DotA 2. The only reason I can think of for this is consistency with other CD-based attack effects. Which would hint to the current behavior being intended.

so is it possible to not take damage consistently? would i need to turn, wait to stop, then blink in the exact direction i was facing max range?

It's not the movement before the Blink that matters (since the animation for Blink is longer than 0.25s anyway). It's whether your move command after your Blink is in the exact same direction as your Blink.

I can't remember the facing mechanics with blink but yeah sounds like if you immediately move the same direction as your blink you will avoid the damage in the vast majority of cases. Since you only have to move one unit more I don't think this even has to be super precise as long as you don't sit and turn in place.

In theory u should be able to move to a a spot, shift-queue a max range blink and shift queue another movement in the same direction. Dno if it works in practice though.

how about if you just straight up blink then dont move (tp) afterwards? or does tping change your turn

any cool combos for pheonix aghs? like tombstone -> pheonix aghs -> tombstone

maybe axe call -> pheonix aghs so you got 2 invulnerable heroes while they try to attack the axe
