Well there's more to it than that. You can't guarantee to be the best urn carrier in the game. Like if I'm offlane Phoenix it's really annoying when a support buys urn because there's no substitute item for Phoenix that's as good as urn after tranquils. Like to the point where you might as well just double urn as Phoenix (though usually it's the support that gets the second urn). | ||

Both are situational, like almost everything in dota, cookie-cutter builds only get you so far until you understand the hero to its whole concept, and every game is another universe, you can play 1000 games and everyone will be different so taking 15 seconds to think about that item decision will be always fine. Medallion->Armor, - armor, roshan, harassing, good for rifhgclickers, mana regen Urn->good for pickoffs,ganks and teamfight to some extent, tankability, every team needs one, easy to build. So, check the game and see for yourself. One thing i'd like to notice you, since im a core player (and I dont know your bracket) but If im the carry in the safelane I just want the support to be either: -Stacking and pulling -Zoning the offlaner The carry should be able to lasthit and deny properly and you can fuck up your carries farm by doing so, even if your intentions are the best ![]() | ||

And most of the time a roaming support will buy me a lot of time to farm, and it can pull the offlaner from the lane. Rune checking prevent the mid from ganking bot in 90% of the pubs | ||

Rune checking prevent the mid from ganking bot in 90% of the pubs we're talkin about solo supporting at this point, 90% of the time you have a jungler who is the designed hero to check the runes and possible ganks, obviously once you are good enough u can just 1v1 the offlaner, but most times u dont get that to happen because most supports fuck up. | ||
