so apparently Liquid has been scrimming with w33ha, would make a lot of sense to me for Liquid to get a traditional mid like him (plus his hero pool is pretty big)

Whoever Kuro chooses he has to be able to Play 1/2 as depending of the strats. Miracle is sometimes mid sometimes safe, i like qojqva for Matu replacement of the known players.

I feel like going mid to safelane isn't that hard? I guess it's about whether they're happy to be the win condition as well as the space maker?

kind of but I think as long as the new guy can play some usual mid comfortably (OD, SF, DP, etc) and is good at making space, he'll fit in.

hypothetically someone like MidOne will be the best option, but yeah impossible. I do think w33ha will do really well tho.

this is sad....always loved matu, it was a pleasure to watch this roster over the last few years. hope they will find a good replacement, who is not only a great player, but also a great guy like matu.

I think in some ways this was the liquid problem - matu could make space, but with veno, necro, viper and ld instead of the heros that are meta right now.

I've cheered for Matu since finnish sea stack. Liquid was such a good team to follow but hopefully soon I'll have a new team to cheer for. Moving on with Matu

The other space making carries can be played by Miracle. Lesh, TA, SF, DP...just put Matu on hard carries like they did during MDL when he played Medusa while Miracle was running rampant on Lesh at the other lanes. Somebody wrote in another thread that every top pro player is able to hit creeps and can amass a lot of farm when giving the space. Maybe Miracle said indeed he does not want to play mid anymore, but hard carry role only and they had to make a call. As you wrote Matus hero pool for mid is very patch dependant and right now, except for LD, his signature heroes are not in the best shape.

I still believe this team had it all to be a top contender for TI once they improved their laning phase and not getting terrible matchups for the mid.

Maybe we will get the reply some day what has been the reason for the change, right now it is still feeling unreal and I am just crossing fingers that Matu will somehow make it to TI as a player(or caster). On the other hand, I am curious to see how w33ha(if he is the one who will replace Matu) will fit into the lineup.

Write an email to liquiddota2@liquidgamers.com with 5 reasons why you should replace M-God and you just might get the spot!

you can still cheer for liquid too, there are still 4 lovely players left. there is no rule saying you can only follow one team;)

It's w33. They've been seen scrimming and playing Battlecup together.

Well for me Matu always was and will be a super great player and certainly one of the top carries out there. I still believe though that w33 will fit better in the team and we will see a new and much more flexible liquid possibly . Looking forward to epicenter :D
If you go over your limits, would you be able to go back?
